I know, I know.. don’t judge a book by its cover and you don’t know the guy, he might be a great person and effective as Mayor, but a bit of lyrics popped in my head when I saw this announcemnet:
But in the town, it was well known
When they got home at night, their fat and
Psychopathic wives would thrash them
Within inches of their lives.
Does he have a d or an r after his name?…
Heh heh heh
Same as for the past 70 years, “D”.
D, and it took a little looking to find that detail.
Looks remarkably like a guy I used to work with. One of the smartest men in his area of expertise I know.
After reading some articles about this guy, it is clear he’s a community organizer, with a lot of experience, is against the new pro sports stadium. He’s for woke initiatives, pro-leftist programs, just like his dad was—degrees in music and computer science and active in all things ‘community’. He’s a leftist in democrat clothing. If his bio is accurate, he’s not lazy, and knows how to win over a progressive crowd in a tempest, while seeming to appease conservatives, but that remains to be seen. He’s a professional politician…..like a young Biden while doing the impression of a…….worm.
“and you don’t know the guy”
But I *do* know the guy, and let me tell you: Nashville is ~18 months away from asking San Francisco for advice on removing poop from sidewalks.
Jim Cooper (the current mayor, for those not local) is a right wing zealot compared to Freddie O.
We’ll be lucky if he’s only as bad as Portland’s Ted Wheeler.
Nashville’s only saving grace will be that the Capitol Building is here and that the state legislators are probably going to step in and prevent/reverse some of the more egregious things he may try.
