Whatever else you can say about drug trafficking, and there is lot you can say, it is the purest expression of capitalism. If the supply goes down the price goes up. If you charge more than your competitor, your customers will go elsewhere. To quote a line from the “Godfather,” “After all, we are not Communists.”
