6 shot repeater

From what I read it is a real gun and not a make-believe. Talk about you cheap Saturday Night Special.  I am guessing it is a .22 cal short and I would not trust my life to that thing.  Interesting to see that it could not be shipped to California, New Jersey and North Carolina, but it could to New York.

The ad is from an early 1960s magazine that it got accidentally thrown out before I jotted down the detail. I do remember it was “Gentleman’s Magazine” of some sort with pictures of women that nowadays would be seen in the Saturday coupon ads you can find in the newspaper.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. The text is carefully composed. “Sporting events…stage use…boating…for warding off would-be attackers”. So you can start a race, fake a murder, signal for help, or run a bluff with it. Yes, it’s a “starter’s pistol”.

  2. No, I think this is the real deal. I am old enough to remember seeing these in store windows back in the early 60s, selling for $9.95. In fact, I still have one. Made in Germany, it only accepts shorts and longs….no LR. It’s really not too bad, but doesn’t always fire….light hammer strikes.

  3. Looks a lot like a Harrington & Richardson M 622 I had once. Cheap gun (got it used) but it worked just fine.
