Where a Hispanic Catholic, and a Computer Geek write about Gun Rights, Self Defense and whatever else we can think about.
Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

I can see that editorial oversight being absent is a time old tradition with the math disagreeing between the article and the headline.
I believe “being wounded” does not equal wounds. One grenade hit may have multiple wounds? Anyway, my take.
They aren’t necessarily the same thing. One can be wounded 18 times, but end up with more than 18 individual wounds. A person who is struck by shell fragments is just counted as “wounded”, even if he has half a dozen fragments. You don’t don’t six Purple Hearts for the six wounds. You get one per each OCCASION you are wounded on. But after the war you can say you suffered “six wounds”, and with the occasional uncertainty of the English language, you can even say he was ‘wounded six times” with perfect accuracy. It all depends on context. But yes, the phrasing could be made less ambiguous.
