This one writes all by itself:
Some people say Jesus is a Lever Action Man.
He would be backed up by Nuns with Guns.
An Orthodox Priest with a belt-fed weapon.
And an Rabbi with an Assault Rifle.
We even have our Patron Saint: St. Gabriel Possenti. A badass Two-Gun Priest.
The Holy Posse is something to behold because He is with us.
I think Jesus would be a Winchester 1886 in 45.70 type of Holy Man.
Personally, I consider CSGV to be a parody of what a anti-gun group would look like at this point.
Don’t dismiss them. They are slowly turning into a totally psycho branch of the Gun Control Movement. I would expect to see them branching out to violence to prove their points much like Eco Terrorists.
“Then said he unto them, But now, he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise his scrip: and he that hath no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one.” (Luke 22:36, King James Bible)
Considering that a sword is a MUCH more dangerous weapon from the standpoint of the user, it’s hard to believe that Jesus would have objected to a person using firearms if they had been available.
Yeah, I just posted that verse on their page. I wonder if it’ll be deleted, met with creative interpretation, or earn me verbal assault and harassment.
I generally try to stay out of crap like this, but if you’re gonna bring up scripture, get your facts right!
And let’s not forget Padre Pistolas…

Another title could be “Religious Bigot Quotes Bible”
This post on CSGV was entirely deserving of a retaliatory post…so it got one. A couple if you include yours
Robbie. One of the commenters on mine basically said that those that want to use bible quotes for their political agenda should actually bother to READ the whole thing instead of just cherry picking quotes from the internet that suit their purpose. LOL. He’s right
Holy crap, that’s like saying that toddlers need to be buckled into a carseat because roofing shingles need to be replaced after a thunderstorm. Absolutely no connection between the two. Had the moneylenders been doing a legitimate business in town (as I’m purty darn sure plenty of them were) and not using the Temple as a place to fleece the flock (hey…that works on multiple levels!), He would have had no problems with them. If the firearms dealers were setting up a table in the foyer of my church, and charging $500 for a basic Mosin-Nagant 91/30 (without even the courtesy of throwing in one of those weird fixy-tool thingys), yes, I’m pretty sure He would toss them out on their collective assphalts. But while He intended His followers to be peaceful and kind “turn the other cheek” kind of folks, He also did not intend for us to be “take it between the cheeks with no lube or reach-around” willing victims. So yeah…if you want to quote scripture…you should probably read it first.
Personally, I love this quote:
It rather puts the anti-rights cultists in the proper light, does it not?
Consider it stolen
“I wonder what [Jesus] would have done to gun sellers?”
Wonder no more. What did Jesus do to sword, and spear sellers? That’s probably what he would have done to the guy with a table of ARs. Sent them customers.
