Free State v Covid detention camp

The people of tiny city of Miami Beach went out to celebrate the new year to the horror of private and governmental Karens.

You probably checked your TV and watched the desolation, but just in case, this was New Years’ celebration in Time Square.

And this was Times Square barely 3 months after the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Makes you wonder who were the better terrorists: Bin Laden and 9/11 Hijackers or Mayor de Blasio and Governor Cuomo.

In my neighborhood, it was non-stop fireworks for 30 straight minutes and we are talking people probably spent the Wuhan V relief money buying the good stuff with lots of height, bangs and colors. The missus and yours truly sat in the back porch enjoying the show and the smell of freshly bloomed jasmines (we did not know they open at night!). And yes, we did the 12 grapes thing with the 1/4 glass of bubbly for me.

Around 9 pm, I had stepped out to go get mail from the communal mailboxes, and neighbors were out for a stroll or all dressed up getting in their cars to go party somewhere. Nobody was wearing  a mask, nor seemed too interested in social distancing.

The whole thing was almost normal life again.

Proving that 2021 did not come with a reset button.

Grafton, Wisconsin police arrested a hospital employee Thursday for destroying over 500 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine.
The employee, a pharmacist, first told his employers at the Aurora Medical Center that he left the vaccine out of the refrigerator by accident, but later admitted that he did so on purpose, according to NBC News.

Hospital Employee Arrested After Intentionally Destroying Doses Of COVID-19 Vaccine

Although despicable, I understand that there are idiots that will do things like this because of many reasons: From political or simply they like the feeling of power they get putting people at risk of death or simply killing them and getting away with it, an unfortunate thing that does happen in the Health Care business. The people that got the vaccines basically got useless shots and let’s hope that they really have no secondary effects and hopefully they can get good doses soon.

What shocked me is comments out there by people congratulating this person and some going as far as calling him a hero of the people. Whether the vaccines work or do not work, it was not his call to decide if people could get or not the vaccine. He removed the choice people made to get the vaccine and that is not heroic by any libertarian stretch of the imagination…or at least it was not with the old guard.

If you think people should shoot up Heroin to their hearts content, but it is OK to sabotage vaccines and let people unknowingly get the shots, you are one seriously messed up individual and need to stay the hell away from other humans.

And the year begins still stupid.

This was in desolated Times Square for the dropping of the ball and the arrival of the New Year.

They are kissing….with the frigging masks on.

I was watching one of several livestreaming cams and the TV people tried somewhat successful not to make it look like Escape from New York.  But that place was empty and depressing.

9/11 could not kill the New Year’s in Time Square. Cuomo and de Blasio were much more effective.

And sweet sweet dose of cosmic Karma.

It could not happen to a bigger asshole:

Page Six reports – The coronavirus dealt a massive blow to the actor’s finances, he revealed in court, as his estranged wife asked for an emergency order to raise her monthly American Express card credit limit from $50,000 to $100,000.

The “The Irishman” actor appeared on a Skype call in his Manhattan divorce case with Grace Hightower as her lawyer told a judge that De Niro unfairly cut her monthly AmEx allowance from $100,000 to $50,000 and said she and their children had been banned from an upstate compound where De Niro is staying during the pandemic.
….
De Niro’s lawyer, Caroline Krauss, told the judge that Nobu lost $3 million in April and another $1.87 million in May. And he had to pay investors $500,000 on a capital call, which he borrowed money from his business partners to make, “because he doesn’t have the cash,” Krauss said.

Well, he can start selling all the stuff he own, starting with that compound in upstate NY (How come he is not in NYC? No trust in de Blasio and Cuomo) and I am sure there is plenty memorabilia he can put up in eBay if he needs some fast cash.

He can go broke for all I care.
