You guys remember my Rossi Revolver being recalled and waiting for the replacement?? (UPDATE)
Guess what? I AM STILL FUCKING WAITING! I think it has been 10-11 months since it all started.
In fact I am on the phone right now with Rossi on hold and listening for the past 19 25 33 38 minutes some new age version of a Spanish melody.
This is beyond Bullshit.
I’ll update if I get a human on the phone and he/she has some sort of new excuse why I shouldn’t call the ATF and declare my gun stolen.
I just sent them these lines via their website’s Contact Page.
Got tired of being on hold for 35 minutes to ask what the heck has happened to the replacement revolver I was going to get for my recalled Rossi. I believe it has been 10 months, maybe more.
The lack of an occasional notification on the status has been a tad insulting. It is as the company wished we give up and forget about the gun.
What is the time limit before I must notify that my gun is lost or stolen to the authorities?
Thank you
And I got an automated reply:
Your request (94821) has been received and is being reviewed by our Taurus support staff.
Let’s see what happens.
Binge recommendation: Counterpart.
The missus and I finished the second (and last) season last night and it was great. I guess I am a fan of alternative Universes, but I have to say this one was well done and specially very well acted. Seriously, J. K. Simmons does such a fantastic job, I bought the premise about a minute into the reveal. It is Cold War writ if not large at least bi-universal.
If you are bored and need to watch 20 episodes of good script and great acting, this is available in Amazon Prime Video and I guess in Starz on demand.
Create a bogeyman and then be afraid of it for legislative purposes
And article from The Trace:
When Protestors Carry Guns, Does It Impede Others’ Free Speech?
In late January, thousands of pro-gun activists descended on Richmond, Virginia, to protest a package of gun reform bills advancing through the state General Assembly. Many of them were armed. The specter of a massive open carry demonstration was difficult for anyone to ignore, but the day was also significant because of the people not in attendance outside the state Capitol grounds.
Whomever chose not to attend because of fear or concerns is an idiot who never took 2 minutes to research what has happened in the past when thousands of Gun Owners get together to exercise their First Amendment Rights: Not a thing.
Garrett Epps, a professor of constitutional law at the University of Baltimore, was one of many to surface concerns about the First Amendment rights of the unarmed. In The Atlantic, he declared, “The right to bear arms in political debate is not the power to speak for oneself; it is, at least implicitly, the power to silence others.”
The keyword is “implicit,” why? because they cannot find one single solitary event where violence has erupted form the side of the Gun Owners. So, he need to say that people simply may feel scared (his own bias) and not attend than actually fess up and say there is no evidence of actual violence ever happened.
Is there a First Amendment right to attend a protest free of guns?
The short answer is no, at least not right now.
DING! DING! DING! We have a winner! “We need common sense legislation that will allow our side to ban firearms during demonstration so we can get away with beating the living shit of anybody we oppose.”
Next:
Reporter friends who planned to attend the event went in with a sense of dread, a war-zone fatalism at what might happen. Molly Conger, a Virginia-based leftist activist and citizen journalist, told me that she had cautioned other activists to stay far from the capital and avoid counterprotest. She attended, she told me, because she felt an obligation to document the event, rather than to protest it. “I still think it was the right thing to do,” she told me Tuesday, of her decision to warn other activists away. “I would be distraught if I had the power to keep people away and didn’t and they died in a mass shooting.” At the event, she said, “the crowd was so thick I got knocked in the face and chest with rifle barrels.”
Interesting. At no time she can make the accusation that she was threatened or that anybody was nasty or impolite, so the only thing the reporter could come up with was that it was crowded and allegedly bumped by inanimate objects.
The effects on locals amounted to a sweeping petrification. Due to Monday’s event, Richmond natives closed their businesses downtown—from a 7-11 near the Capitol to a barbershop to the entirety of Virginia Commonwealth University, which suspended all activities for the day, including internships and clinical placements; a university statement made clear that this was in response to the threat, not the federal holiday.
What threat was given by Gun Owners, did you hear about anything? no, right. So where did that bogeyman come from? The answer appears in the first sentence of the next paragraph:
Due to the state of emergency declared by the governor,
THE BOGEYMAN IS COMING! THE BOGEYMAN IS COMING! SAVE YOURSELVES! Again, they make shit up, create a panic and try to cash on the results.
Now, if the threat was so bad, how come there was not a bigger police presence in the area? Don’t take my word, go find videos of the event and you will see that the few cops present were mostly bored and in what appear to be a traffic control duty.
And if that was not enough, after the protest was over, people left peacefully and not a single incident of vandalism happened, not one single solitary accidental discharge happened, nobody shot, not one of the usual predictions that The Gun Controllers swear will happen among gun owners occurred. Why? Two reasons, 1) Gun owners by far are extremely polite and respectful of people and property and 2) By the same token, we will not accept violence against us. You try to hurt us, we will hurt you right back and with interest so the usual suspect in black figured to do the safe thing and stay home listening to the best speeches of Bernie Sanders in vinyl.
Tens of thousands armed individuals got together and nothing happened, nobody got hurt. Can’t say the same for the other side, right?
Never forget that the people that have a dislike for the Second Amendment, more than likely do not appreciate the rest of the Bill of Rights, including the First Amendment this so-called article alleges to defend.

Broward Schools after Parkland: I am guessing the changes did not take.
SUNRISE, FLA. (WSVN) – Three students have all recently been arrested accused of bringing weapons to their Broward County schools.
Sunrise Police arrested a 15-year-old student at Piper High School Wednesday afternoon after investigators said he was carrying a pellet gun.
“I’ve just seen him getting arrested,” student Jordan Taneaus said. “Like, put in handcuffs and stuff.”
Students said he took off running outside the school, causing panic.
…Another student from Hallandale Beach School was also accused of bringing a weapon to school, but according to police, it was a real gun instead of a pellet gun.
“I was like nervous, I guess everyone, like, started taking it seriously,” said a Hallandale Beach High student.
School administrators called in a code red after a school resource officer found a gun on 17-year-old Dwaynton Pulley. He was patted down after a fight at the school when the gun was found.
He may be charged as an adult.
…Just as this story aired, 7News learned that there was a third student arrested for carrying a gun at South Broward High School Wednesday.
According to Hollywood Police, a 15-year-old boy armed himself with one of his father’s guns to retrieve another gun one of his friends allegedly stole after visiting his house.
A school resource officer found the loaded gun in the student’s backpack.
3 students accused of bringing weapons to Broward County schools
Remember, the evil done in Parkland was going to be fixed by the almost half a billion dollars from the Legislature and the softer/kinder teachings and training given to teachers so they can interlace spiritually with the students and bring peace and joy to the school system. Instead, it seems they are carrying guns like they were pokemon cards or toys.
Don’t forget: Not a single person from the Broward School Board that was involved in the Niki Cruz fuck up has been punished yet, nobody has been remover or even given a lateral transfer. They are there collecting on the Florida Taxpayer’s money while blaming us for their failure.
They want you dead, biological warfare edition
Candi Lee CdeBaca is a Democrat politician from Denver.
She wants you dead for supporting Trump.
She won’t take a gun and kill you. She will just spread a virus that is potentially lethal to mostly elderly people and children.
This isn’t the first time a Leftist has threatened to do that. The professional pervert Dan Savage got the flu and threatened to lick door handles and coffee cups in an Iowa Republican’s campaign office because he said the Republican was anti-gay.
But this time, with a national panic over the Coronavirus and the fact that it is known to be fatal, this is more than just an annoyance, this is a declaration of biological warfare.
They want you dead. They can’t win on ideas so they will try and kill you.
As we inch closer to a Trump victory in 2020, these are going to be less threats and more action.
Be safe out there.
