In case you have not read it, here is the original story. The whole exchange is just so based in wishful thinking and false morality, it amazes me these people even belong to the human race. Apparently a crowbar has never been used as a weapon, it is easy to run away while carrying two nine-year old boys, we must think criminals always have the best of intentions and your home is not your castle.

In the so-called Gunshine State, home to the most gun permits in the country, firearm violence has fallen to the lowest point on record.
As state and national legislators consider gun control laws in the wake of last month’s Connecticut school shooting, Florida finds itself in a gun violence depression. The Firearm-involved violent crime rate has dropped 33 percent between 2007 and 2011, while the number of issued concealed weapons permits rose nearly 90 percent during that time, state records show.

And with one million Concealed Weapons Permits issued no less. That is why the Opposition must lie to get their point across and that is why we cannot stop fighting.

US Constitution, Article 3, Section 3. Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court. The Congress shall have Power to declare the Punishment of Treason, but no Attainder of Treason shall work Corruption of Blood, or Forfeiture except during the Life of the Person attainted.
We covered this before. CSGV loves to change the meaning of things to suit their purposes. I found this rather clear explanation of the Treason Clause and its application or rather, when it should not be applied.
The treason clause is a product of the awareness of the Framers of the ”numerous and dangerous excrescences” which had disfigured the English law of treason and was therefore intended to put it beyond the power of Congress to ”extend the crime and punishment of treason.” 1283 The debate in the Convention, remarks in the ratifying conventions, and contemporaneous public comment make clear that a restrictive concept of the crime was imposed and that ordinary partisan divisions within political society were not to be escalated by the stronger into capital charges of treason, as so often had happened in England.

And it does not bade well when even one of their followers points out the obvious:
The sad part is that Gun Control Advocates thing it is not Tyranny unless there is a coup de etat led by some just-made general with a bandoliers of ammo across the chest. They fail to see the insidious nature of a soft tyranny that slowly erodes on your rights till you wake up one morning with all of them gone. It will be then when they will decide to do something about it and it would be too late because just the thought of doing something is “lawfully” categorized as the treason they supported on us.
Never forget what CSGV truly thinks should be done about the citizens of this country if they politically disagree with the Government.

Police discourage autopsies that might reveal a higher homicide rate in their jurisdiction, and pressure doctors to attribute unnatural deaths to health reasons, usually heart failure, the group alleges. Odds are, it says, that people are getting away with murder in Japan, a country that officially claims one of the lowest per capita homicide rates in the world.
The fudging of stats is not only a Japanese trait. In Europe is also a custom to downgrade and even outright lie about a crime to avoid complicated investigations and lengthy trials to the point victims no longer bother to call their local police and just take it. Scotland Yard years ago was discovered grossly under reporting crime so the political animals would look to the constituents.
I simply do not trust statistics from other countries.
On Decmber 30, I posted an article by Donald Kaul where he stated that the .Gov should declare the NRA a terrorist organization, gun owners that didn’t submit to be killed and “Mitch McConnell and John Boehner, our esteemed Republican leaders, to the back of a Chevy pickup truck and drag them around a parking lot until they saw the light on gun control.”
A couple of weeks ago I wrote a thoughtful, well-reasoned column suggesting ways to cut down on gun violence in our ever more violent society.

Mr. Kaul now says it was a satire…. I think somebody is in need of new undies. That happens to cowards and bullies when they are confronted…and now that I think about it, Mass Murderers like the asshole in Newtown do the same thing.
