I swear that the Coalition to Stop Gun Rights Violence has managed to stretch my capacity for jaw-dropping to the capacity of a hungry python attacking a capibara.
I am guessing that excluding the “greater good” and being all for individualism is a bad thing in the eyes of CSGV. I used to thing that CSGV were just idiots but now I have to sadly conclude that they are Socialist Idiots (apologies for the redundancy there.)
If accusing us of rugged individualism and the firm belief in individual rights makes us some sort of “beasts” in their eyes, I really do not care. If anything I am sure they hurt themselves more with that moronic post than any damage they could have fantasized to give us.
The way I see it, if everyone looked out for their own interests, everyone’s interests would be looked out for. Those who looked out for their interests most wisely and effectively would have theirs best served.
A meritocracy, in other words. I guess CSGV doesn’t like those.
Umm, you’re just now figuring out that CSGV is a far left collectivist outfit? Let me quote you something from the book Guns, Democracy, and the Insurrectionist Idea, by CSGV leader Josh Horowitz and his co-writer Casey Anderson
——————————————–
Recognize Insurrectionism as a threat to the entire progressive movement. Too many political progressives assume that the gun rights movement can be co-opted or simply ignored. Progressives fail to understand that the Insurrectionist idea is part and parcel of a broader reactionary worldview. Unless progressives recognize that the Insurrectionist premise of the modern gun rights movement is fundamentally hostile to the progressive project and its values, the “conservative” movement will use gun rights as a building block for organizing and propagandizing.

They don’t just disagree with us, they want to radically change society. Here’s a link to my review, which links to Kurt Hoffman’s review.

I admit that I never paid attention to their political inclination. To me gun grabbers’ stance is so shallow that I could not believe they had any higher brain function.
