Three weeks ago we covered the recovery of a cheap gun probably over half a century old and today reader Roy K alerts me of another archeological find by the NYPD.
It is another Harrington and Richardson and I could not find the exact model. I want to say it is a 1905, but I am far from being an expert. Let me know in the comments if you can nail it down.
At least we have another gun that might be between 75 and 115 years old still roaming the streets of New York City. The Sullivan Act, premier Gun Control Gun Law and still active in New York City came out in 1,911 which demonstrates well over a century of gun control failure with hard evidence .
PS: I thought that Roy K was the one passing me the info, but he corrected me. And I have to apologize to whomever sent me the tweet because I can’t find you and credit you with the discovery.
They won’t stop riots, can’t control drug traffic, but finding a rusty antique popgun is a great victory. This is a participation trophy for the NYPD. Now they can go harass Jews with great confidence, having had their self-esteem bolstered.
That’s one scary looking gun … and I don’t mean from the downstream end of the bore.
The concept of grenade jumps to mind, doesn’t it?
Yes, the obvious question is: why would you want to remove such a gun from the street? Better for Darwinian reasons to leave it out.
