Developed by police officers from a large metropolitan area, the new Triggersafe is a simple device to make your AR-15 safer when its intended to be completely safe. In short, the Triggersafe is a device that completely covers the trigger of a standard forged AR-15 lower receiver. Further, the Triggersafe impedes a standard safety selector from being manipulated. The company notes it is compatible with a variety of trigger guards and selectors, but does not state explicitly what exactly is compatible outside the Magpul trigger guards. When used, it makes an AR-15 nearly negligent discharge proof.
On the flip side, it makes the weapon nearly unusable in a dynamic situation, as it is not easily removable with only the trigger finger.

This screams of ” Why I can’t pull the trigger? Oh f***.. too late, I am dead.”

And the video does not make it any better.

This is a solution in search for an unnecessary death and lawsuits. But I understand why Police Departments can see this as good: It is cheaper than training the officers. Bob Owens put it succinctly:

  1. Ian has a picture of Turkish riot police with trigger guards on their G-3 clones. However, they were designed in such to reach a finger in to pull the trigger. Handy to prevent accidental discharges or a rioter from trying to spray. However, why would you want an M-4 clone for riot work?

  2. What ever happened to keeping your finger off the trigger until you are ready to shoot?

If police cannot be taught the 4 rules of gun safety, they should not be police. I agree, they are not to be trusted with an M-4 / AR-15.

    Morons surround me…

    1. ALL of you are morons, especially Miguel. First of all It isn’t a trigger lock. Funny how Special Ops, SWAT Officers and those truly in the know vet it and use it. No reason to try to explain to people that obviously don’t do their own research. Sad.

Nice start. Makes sure we pretty much ignore what you have to say.

First of all It isn’t a trigger lock.
Nobody said it was. It is actually more of a trigger block.

Knowing what I know about those groups and negligent discharges & accidents, it is not a ringing endorsement.

Allow me to help you: You cannot accessorize what needs to be instilled by constant training. To wit:

        Sad.

        Yes, you are.

        1. “Nice start” Really? Look in the mirror. The title of your article alone is disrespectful. Do you fasten your seat belt? Do you belt up and ignore all safety rules? Or do you follow them and believe you are super human and could never make a mistake? Or wearing your seat belt means you are safe from other drivers? Do you know anything about theses Officers? Have you taken the time to visit the range and watch them train? Have you met the new recruits that have taken the oath and understand that one day they may lay down their life to save your life?

  3. Well of course now it must be about money. My “investment”, piece of mind. Hearing the sound of velcro being pulled apart from my husband’s bullet “proof” vest at 3 a.m. , PRICELESS. My issue is over your lack of responsibility for your article. You read something , took a few minutes to summarize your typical opinion and wrote your negative article about our Police Officers. Do your homework. Get out there, do a ride along, go take a community Police training class, get to know the Officer’s and their families in your area. Find a way to help improve any issue’s you may have with the Department in your area first…. be apart of the solution, not the problem.

    1. Dear, I lived in places where your husband would not go in unless he had air and armor support. Spare me your infantile theatrics, specially since you are defending a product that could potentially endanger the life you allegedly care.
If your LEO Husband cannot keep his finger off the trigger until he is ready to shoot, maybe he should be riding a desk and not a patrol car. If you really care about your husband, instead of Old Spice for Christmas, send him to several (as in more than one) Shooting Academies. We will be glad to give you the names upon request and location.

  4. Regarding your thoughts about my feelings as a Police Officer’s Wife , No comment. I’m sorry for whatever happened to you to have caused so much darkness. As far as my Husband’s training, I’m not going to name drop, nor does he need defending. He has served our Country. You don’t have a clue. Again… it isn’t about keeping his finger off the trigger.. really? It is about the safety being swiped off on his or one of his teammates rifle during certain situations. I read a few of your articles. You and I actually agree on many things, however in your fight I feel you have lost your way. God bless. I’m done.
