Reader “Wild”  Bill Baldwin dropped this nugget in a comment:

“According to the Boone County (IN) tax collector, John or Shannon Watts no longer own property there. According to the Boulder County (CO) tax collector, John and Shannon Watts do own property there. They live in Colorado’s 2nd congressional (deep blue) district.

It certainly wouldn’t be out of the realm of possibility that she try to unseat Cory Gardner in 2020.”

So I checked her Linkedin account:

It seems she officially has moved to the People’s Republic of Denver.  Apparently Bloomberg feels that Colorado is now under his control and can get her favorite political courtesan elected to office.

Shannon is not going for a paltry State Congress seat but fully fledged Federal. The only question remaining: Is this vetted by Colorado Democrats or are we watching another Carpetbagging Attack?

  1. She may instead be looking to challenge Jared Pollis in 2018; Easier to buy a seat in the House than the Senate… Pollis has a pretty reliably left-wing voting record, but he’s also a rich white man (hid personal net worth is estimated at nearly $400 million) which is apparently Unforgivable Sin #1 to the Democratic voter base these days.

    1. And again that brings the question if the CO Dem Party has agreed with the Carpetbaggers to take over or they are pushing themselves in the state.

      1. Unfortunately, carpetbaggers are welcomed with open arms in Colorado. Thanks to the democratic gerrymandering in the last go-round it is very nearly lost to the conservatives in the rural areas.

Most of the Colorado Democratic voter base are carpetbag… er, “transfers” from other states themselves. The Californication is palpable.

      1. But “white woman” outranks “white man” on the oppression hierarchy; Rep. Pollis is gay, which would normally move him higher up the oppression hierarchy, but he looses too many oppression points by being ridiculously wealthy.

  2. If Bloomberg is starting to position his lackeys to get elected, I would assume it would be more than one seat… not counting the ones he has bought off already.

  3. There is nothing quite more detestable than carpetbaggers. What the hell does some housewife from Indiana know about the local needs, desires, and attitudes of Coloradans?

  4. “Hi, I’m Shannon Watts.

You may know me as the official founder of Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America. If you are not familiar with that, you may know me for publicly shaming United Airlines for enforcing a corporate policy I didn’t like.

I am running for the House of Representatives in Colorado because Michael Bloomberg has spent enough money here that he thinks he can get me elected in the Centennial State.

I my platform is simple. As an elite, educated, Liberal woman, I – and my financial backer, Michael Bloomberg – think we know how to run your lives better than you. We want to restrict your right to own guns, drink fattening sodas, smoke, vape, eat trans fats, dictate your own corporate policies, or say what you like.

My vision of America’s future is a cute Jimmy Choo high heel shoe, stomping in a human face forever

I’m Shannon Watts and I approve this message.”
