This is part of Benetton’s “unhate” campaign. As usual they are going for the shock value of having Obama and Hugo locking lips in order to promote their wares.

What is really shocking is the number of people like me that see this ad and say: “Yep, that’s about right.”

  1. While this fiction, W kissing and holding hands with the Saudi King is pure unadulterated fact.

    Go ahead. Look it up.

I’m sure you had something snarky to say back then, too, because you guys are nothing but consistent.

While you’re delving into history, Miquel, also make sure you check out how W normalized relations with Qadaffi and took N. Korea off the terrorism watch list.

Stick with guns and ammo, pal.

      1. Rick has that South Florida Cool Intelligentsia thing going and failing as usual. This goes double if you factor in that cheek kissing among Hispanics with European background is anything but uncommon. What is uncommon is that Rick, living down here has not seen it, but then again he probably does not patron Calle Ocho or Hialeah.

BTW, I promise you guys I won’t kiss any of your ugly mugs.

    1. I get the very occasional one over on 2×4. It’s always because someone was googling about a specific subject I suspect and happened to come across my post about whatever that particular subject was.

        1. You should see the responses of some of the ones over on Urban Grounds. A blog run by a fellow Texan. His death penalty posts are almost legendary among us readers. He gets a 100+ responses every single time. The current one is up to…148 I think, with the ‘replies’ to replies I just posted.

  2. Now if they really wanted to stir some true controversy, Obama and Bibi locking lips would really send out the shock waves! But Chavez? Meh.
