There is a “disturbance” coming out of Africa.
Gabrielle is allegedly heading North so I am going to keep an eye on that disturbance for a couple of days before I remove shutters .

When I was growing up, once the hurricane shutters went up they didn’t come down till the end of the season. Half the time my mom wanted them left up just because how cool they kept the house without any light coming in the windows.
It does keep the house a lot cooler.
I just took 1/2 of my shutters down to lighten up the living spaces. Putting them back up will only take 10 min at most. The trade off in letting light in vs feeling like living in a cave is worth it to me and the misses.
BTW, we saw 34 mph gusts here on the Space Coast. No damage.
