Today, we watch leftist mobs scream profanities at professors and deans, and shut down conservative and pro-Israel speakers at colleges. We routinely witness left-wing protesters block highways and bridges, scream in front of the homes of conservative business and political leaders, and surround conservatives’ tables at restaurants while shouting and chanting at them.

Why Leftists Feel Entitled to Block Highways, Shut Down Speakers, and Harass Public Officials
The answer is so much simpler: Because they do not face consequences.
As long as they keep getting away with it, they will keep doing it and increasing it. And that includes only spending a couple of hours in jail after being booked which in their book is a badge of honor, specially since their low bails are being posted by somebody else.
They incur in no risk when they do their political deeds. Restaurant owners are terrified they will be harassed if they stand up to these morons and they rather be forcefully woke than being a target. Interestingly enough, this kind of behavior has been seen but is never productive in one locale: Night Clubs. It must be because the second you go stupid, several huge bouncers will engage in teaching you the different flavors of the pavement outside the place.
If you make them bleed, (either by blood or cash) they will suddenly find out that is cheaper, safer and polite to engage in a peaceful redress of grievances.
Prager, of all people, should understand this. It’s the same reason that “Palestinian” politicians get away with teaching and funding terrorism. In that case at least, we’re starting to see the beginnings of consequences.

I think you’re both right. You’re seeing the same problem and the same conclusion from two different angles.
The rioters feel empowered because they don’t face consequences. You are 100% correct in this.
But Mr. Prager has a point in that the rioters are empowered not only because they have “thoroughly rejected middle-class, bourgeois, and Judeo-Christian religious values”, but because their fellow-Leftists — Hollywood celebrities, talk show hosts, and (most relevant to this discussion) mayors and police chiefs — have, too.
IOW, the rioters won’t face consequences because the powers-that-be — Leftists, all of them — are their ideological allies and themselves face no consequences for letting the rioters’ bad behavior become mainstream.
