Here’s the thing that the DA/SA guns have over most of these Striker Guns… That SA pull. I’ve fired some DA/SA guns with triggers so good it makes you want to go slap Gaston. Even with my tricked out Glock trigger, which is really dang good… It’s not as good as the SA pull on my Beretta 92.

Nice to see not everybody has ingested the Kool-Aid of the Exalted Church of the Striker Fired Plastic Wonder. As a DA/SA carrier, it is nice to see that I am not the only one that appreciates a proven system.
You can, in a sense, have both.
Walther’s P99AS does that, and comes in a nice compact size.
I carry a FNP-9. Mid size DA/SA and not even a safety.
Love my CZs. I’ve got a 75 & 85 one that decocks and one the cocks and locks. The DA is always rough but the follow up SA shots are sweet.
The doctor here prescribes a healthy dose of DA revolver shooting to train your finger for that long and heavy DA pull.
Ed McGivern’s Book of Fast and Fancy Revolver Shooting
Must read for any handgun shooter.
Don’t forget to read Bill Jordan’s No Second Place Winners.
I have a signed copy 😉
That was the first ‘gun’ book I bought. I got it right after turning down the path of the DA revolver 🙂
I think I’ll just stick with the design JMB came out with 102 years ago.
Blessed be his name….
You should feel the factory trigger on my SW1911Sc.
Personally I just don’t LIKE how the triggers feel on most of those plastic fantastics. The one I REALLY enjoy is my Kahr…but that’s also because I’m madly in love with a quality DA revolver trigger. My Kahr feels like my Colt trooper trigger…but nearly half of the pull weight…which matters to some, but not for me. I’ll take a butter-smooth 12lb trigger over a mushy 3lb one any day.
Spring field armory commander 1911. Who could ask for any thing more? The sweetest SA there is!
