OK, maybe not. But when you do knee-jerk Facebook posting, sometimes what you write is not precisely what you mean.
You have to admit, they are using the same arguments of the OC v CC forum arguments.
I wonder what flavor of foot they are tasting right about now.
The element of surprise always beats the gun carrier?
So when the person carrying concealed suddenly pulls out his firearm — isn’t that a surprise to the thug trying to commit the robbery?
usually their last one.
Their idea that concealed carriers are helpless if the criminal gets the drop on them MUST BE TRUE BECAUSE IT IS WRITTEN IN ALL CAPS!
Despite the numerous stories of citizens turning the tables on criminals, they are going with the theme that it ALWAYS turns out badly for the citizen. Really?
Come on, even the most rudimentary web search would turn up lots of cases that disprove their vigorous assertion. Do they have 8 year-olds writing their postings?
Who believes these fact-challenged gun control advocates? Such an erroneous posting fails the test of real-world observations and demonstrates that they have no credibility.
Sir, you are maligning the good name of the non developmentally challenged 8 year olds everywhere. The evidence at hand is highly suggestive that their emotional development was arrested at the age of 6.
@kfg: Sorry, you are quite right.
My estimate of their intelligence and emotional maturity was unfair to 8 year-olds. Originally, I was charitable and wrote it as 10 year-olds, then down-graded it to 8 year-olds, but the tender age of 6 does seem more accurate.
Six is about right as that is when they entered public school. Amazing how well it works.
@A Critic: That age was not chosen at random. There is a particular developmental stage that is short, but critical, that happens around the age of six. The stage at which the brain gets reorganized from infantile function to adult function.
As such what happens during this phase can set thought and behavior for life.
[…] Heh. National Gun Victims Action Council uses the same argument against open carry that pro-gun people who prefer concealed carry would use. […]
So cops shouldn’t carry?
Oh, but they are trained professionals who criminals are NEVER able to get the drop on. Plus, they can shoot the weapon out of the bad guys hands using the power of their MIND!
