“I have often thought that in the hereafter of our lives, when I owe no more to the future and can be just a man, that we may meet and you will come to me and claim me yours and know that I am your husband.
It is a dream I have.”
The quote is not from the wedding scene but almost the end of the movie, but it was the most romantic part.
Sorry … what movie was that? I don’t recognize the quote or the scene.
Excalibur

One of the few films I actually sought out to buy…
Thanks!
Probably the best telling of the ‘King Arthur’ story, and really touches on the love of Arthur towards Guinevere.
And the best Arthur death scene in any movie I’ve seen on the subject.
Only way to make it really better is to go historical and set it in Arturo-Brit times and deal with the whole Saxon invasion. Nah, let’s just keep ‘Excalibur.’
