And as Sarah Hoyt pointed out, no Portuguese or Spanish vampires either.
I our culinary cultures, it is faster to learn what dishes do not have garlic on them.

Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

Same for us Jews. The only Jewish food I can think of that doesn’t contain garlic and onion are the ones that contain chocolate.

You need to post some Jewish cuisine recipes… I am gonna make that mandatory for the blog 😀
I can post them, but I don’t think anybody wants to eat them.
There is a reason why it is so hard to convert to Judaism, most people can’t get past the Gefilte Fish test.
Nothing that cannot be cured with Tabasco
Can’t be worse then lutfisk…
Or fish head soup.
I had some seriously good food in Israel. One was a dessert: Halvah parfait.
Hmmm Being half Italian and half Jewish probably explains why virtually everything I cook has garlic in it. Except for the stuff with 90% dark chocolate.
I vaguely recall Gefilte fish as a kid, don’t recall either liking it or hating it, but I still have kosher pickled herring now and then. When I was in Israel a few years ago (my best business trip ever!) I developed a taste for Lox and scrambled eggs. Now I’m getting hungry for Shakshuka.
