“It’s not in agreement with our convictions. The worst thing is war.”
Mexican President López Obrado. 2019.” A British Prime Minister has returned from Germany bringing peace with honour. I believe it is peace for our time.”
Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Neville Chamberlain. 1938.
Open Borders will be needed after all. We may have to send armored divisions past the Rio Grande soon enough to counter the Narco State’s crimes in the US. Yes, they are coming.
“Peace is not merely the absence of war.”
I guess they want to play Pancho Villa again?
“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things: the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth a war, is much worse. When a people are used as mere human instruments for firing cannon or thrusting bayonets, in the service and for the selfish purposes of a master, such war degrades a people. A war to protect other human beings against tyrannical injustice; a war to give victory to their own ideas of right and good, and which is their own war, carried on for an honest purpose by their free choice, — is often the means of their regeneration. A man who has nothing which he is willing to fight for, nothing which he cares more about than he does about his personal safety, is a miserable creature who has no chance of being free, unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself. As long as justice and injustice have not terminated their ever-renewing fight for ascendancy in the affairs of mankind, human beings must be willing, when need is, to do battle for the one against the other. ”
— John Stuart Mill
I wonder if he was an expensive purchase.
Compared to what? He doesn’t seem particularly effective at, well, anything; so I have to wonder why anyone would bother to buy him in the first place.
welp … when global warming turns into the next ice age, and the US needs to move its southern border about 500 miles south, Mexico won’t really be in a position to complain too much…
On today’s Special Report on Fox, commentator Steve Hilton suggested that classifying the narcos as terrorist organizations would be a good idea. He said this would make it easier to seize their assets.
I suppose so. What he didn’t mention, but would also be useful, is that terrorists aren’t arrested, they are killed. If you locate the mansion of a drug lord and drop a laser-guided bomb on it, then repeat this a few dozen times, things are bound to improve.
Tom Clancy made this the plot line of one of his less known novels, “Clear and Present Danger”.
Miguel, i have a request.
When you post a tweet why don’t you go ahead and post the tweet (like J.Kb does) instead of, or along with that screen cap. It’s makes it so much easier to get to that on twitter as opposed to having to scan that account’s tweets until it’s found.
Just something to consider for your reader’s convenience.
Tweets get deleted. Screen caps are permanent. Lemme see if I can link the capture with the tweet without busting the boys
Like I said ‘…or along with that screen cap’
Since you’re using WordPress, all you have to do is post the URL and it should automatically populate the tweet.
Mexico is a failed narco state. We need a wall, a moat, an anti-tank ditch, a minefield and those robot sentry guns from “Aliens” on the border.
