Reader David H. gave me this heads up:
Well, played, sir. very well played.
Next time I make “Carotas Negras” (black beans) I will take pictures and share the recipe with you guys. It is real simple and even a Lefty can do it… but won’t because I will use Goya beans.
Looking forward to seeing the recipe!
Completely unrelated, but may I present to you.. The greatest Twitter thread in history:

The CEO of Goya Foods should never have to buy a drink again if other CEOs and Execs had any guts. Faced the mob, took a good look at them, and realized they were probably not buying his product and were not worth sacrificing his values. The size of church bells.
Would that others take note and follow.
I buy Goya now, whenever I need something. They sell more than beans. Foir instance, their Olive oil is great and priced well. You have to go to a Fiesta around here to get it, but it’s worth the trip anyhow. (they have better produce than the ghetto kroger)
I’m certain I’m not the only one.
I pulled a white chicken chili recipe off their site and made it with their products. It was amazing, but a bit too rich for anything but an occasional treat.
Spanish-based food is like that.
