I got a call around noon from very polite man from Taurus letting me know that unfortunately my Rossi could not be fixed. I have no idea what could it be and di not ask (metal treatment?) but I was informed the gun will be slate for destruction and that in the next couple of weeks I will be having to visit my FFL to get Taurus 605 as compensation.
From the reviews I have seen online, people like the little gun. I did discover that it is a 5-shot while the Rossi was a six shooter. The only “complain” I have is I will need to get me some speed loaders for it since all I have are the Safariland six rounders that also worked on my S&W. Basically, I ain’t complaining.
Your arsenal is not complete unless you have a snub nose of some kind. I’ll post a picture when I get it.
“Your arsenal is not complete unless you have a snub nose of some kind.”
I’ll be sure to tell Mrs B. that next time she inventories the safe… 🙂
This feels a little odd. You send your gun to the factory for repair and they tell you they are going to destroy your property. Did I get that right? Did they offer you a choice of your gun back or a new replacement? I can understand the choice, but they way you worded it didn’t make it sound that way
Cool, I guess. I like my 605. If you want a 6 shooter, you might ask if they could go with their new 856. of course, check it over thoroughly.
I think I’ll keep it. It seems to be close to an old school J frame size with the ability to pew pew angrier seeds.
I’d rather have a Kahr MK9 than a snubby.
I have had several Taurus snubbies and they have always been totally reliable, smooth functioning and excellent price point revolvers. I wish you the best with yours.
