Eddie Colosimo runs Holy Hill’s Bikers for First Amendments Rights restaurant and bar. It’s a non-profit that helps support military veterans.
Colosimo, a wounded Marine Corps vet, is passionate about United States Armed Forces. His granddaughter, grandson, and son-in-law are all serving in different branches of the military. So, Colosimo decided to fly military flags representing all our servicemen and women in front of his the restaurant.
“These flags represent our men and women all over the world for us today!” he said
via Vet defies city ordinance banning display of military flags – FOX 35 News Orlando.
Sometimes I think Mickey Town USA (A.K.A. DisneyWorld) has a nasty influence on Central Florida. They are so Stepford Wives is uncanny and one thinks local politicians are nothing more than PC Animatrons.
Give him a permit and admend the code to include……….. š
“amend” the…..
I would question whether the ordinance can stand since it’s not content-neutral. As long as his flags fit whatever size requirements they have for the exceptions for the American & POW flags, then I would think they would have to let them fly.
The city council needs to fly from a flagpole for hassling the man over this.
Wasn’t all that long ago that Orland had one of the largest military training facilities. Hell, I went to boot camp, A school and Nuc power school there. This is what happens when the Navy leaves-place goes to hell.
Now aren’t you glad I tweeted you this one? I figured this one would just purely piss you off.
And it’s not just Florida man…hell look at everything the feds are doing or trying to do and tell me that’s not stepford…ish.
And don’t start me on Disney.
City should be standing up for military members– not tearing them down. Sounds to me that city officials have no common smarts…..The United States is in bad trouble. STAND UP FOR OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!
Spit on Disney all you want, but I *DARE* you to come out of “The American Adventure” with dry eyes.
Dare not taken…. I will probably be sorry for missing it, but there is no way you’ll get me in a amusement park. I just can’t stand the “experience.”
