On last night’s episode of In Plain Sight, Marshall Marshall proposed to his her girlfriend. Nothing special as TV goes, but the location was interesting. Marshall had been trying to get a reservation at a fancy restaurant but could not. Mary got him an alternate location that not only was as busy as the fancy restaurant but even better for his romantic purposes: A gun range.
Yup….. and this is why We Are Winning.
PS: My eyes shed a tear or two… it was Soooooo romantic! π
A VERY minor nitpick. It was subtly revealed but it’s not true Mary couldn’t get the reservation. Mary got it but she, the work wife, realized the restaurant was not the ideal place for Marshall to take his now fiancΓ© for his big night out. The reveal was the next scene where Mary was at the restaurant with her “mother-in-law” (who is not really). You can tell it was the right place because she handed over the toy stegosaurus to the chef. It was that connection to the chef which Mary was going to use to get the reservations.
PS: The reason I actually even point it out is because it reinforces your position. Mary realized that shooting is a sport that the two of them love and a great place for them to spend the evening.
I am calling USANetwork and have them sent you all the episodes in DVD. You have reached level 1,000 in the Fandom. π
I knew I would get razzed about this… π
For the record, despite being half asleep when watching it, I tend to be observant of minor details. Now, I will retreat, don my flack jacket and ride out the blitzkrieg… π LOL
You know it is all in good fun!
Yup, I do π
No only A shooting range, “her favorite shooting range.” Where nobody gets in on a Friday night.
Because that’s real romance, kids.
“Marshall Marshall proposed to HER girlfriend”? C’mon dude he’s not that metrosexual.
One of theses days I’ll stop making mistakes….damned English Language π
Dang it, they stole a part of my idea. Been planning on using that for my proposal when the time is right, and now everyone’s going to think I took the idea from that show.
Also, that doesn’t look like any “busy range” I’ve ever seen, there are empty lanes and no line of people waiting.
