Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad has signed a wide-ranging gun bill into law that includes a stand-your-ground provision.Branstad signed the legislation Thursday. Portions of the bill go into effect immediately though most will be enforced starting July 1.

Well Paid Moms Demand and their New York Pimp may have screwed with Florida this year, but they simply don’t have the membership they claim to have. Instead of killing SYG, one more state joins the ranks of Common Sense Self Defense.
And as frustrated as you may feel (And I am damned frustrated) never forget ours is a war of attrition.

Wow, I count 7 in that picture of Moms demanding action in Florida. There are double that number of people in the local gun store at any moment during the day here in upstate NY.
But they came with a very fat checkbook and bought themselves a Republican State Senator.
State of Maine is NOT a duty to retreat state. Especially in your own home. You as a ccw can not escalate the situation outside your home or property. If you can leave,leave. If you are pursued you can defend yourself. If you are attacked you defend. Concrats guys, you put up a fight.
The Bloomberg orgs numbers are grossly inflated and conflated using social media followers and stats to pad things. MDA might have “millions” on their FB page, but an infinitesimal percentage of those people could be counted as “real members”
It’s super easy to convince someone to click “Like” on Facebook. Throw some dollars at a targeted ad campaign, create some copy (with the words “for the children” in it) to sway the sheep, and you’ll get a nice return of likes.
Also, whenever they do a protest photo or a group photo, it’s always cleverly cropped and composed to hide the pathetic turnout.
Simple fact is, no one really wants to be associated in public with these harridans when it comes down to it. It’s embarrassing.
On the other hand, pro-gun organizations numbers are often what they say they are. The NRA existed way before social media and built up 5+ million members the hard way. It’s much easier to build real support when your cause is just. Any cause that relies on increased legislation is not just.
