         (For those who don’t know, when the Guard is activated for any reason, arming orders are discussed and issued, which describe what “kit” they’re to have and what condition it will be in — including what guns, what mags, and whether the mags are loaded or unloaded. And it should all be FOIA-available once the “mission” is over. It’s a safe bet someone will request it.)

   1. Especially if those bag checks are anything like what I had to go through the one time visited the Smithsonian. They made me take my camera out of its little bag around my neck (apparently they thought I was trying to smuggle in a grenade or something), but neither they, nor their metal detector picked up on the three knives I was carrying, none of which were legal under DC’s demonrat shithole laws.

      Oh, I and did that as a clueless teenager who had no idea at the time that my pocket knives were “illegal weapons of violence” (I thought I was visiting a museum in America, oh how naive I was back then) not someone who was actually trying to smuggle in a weapon.
