You gotta love Millionaire Socialists. They have a refined and yet disconnected brand of hypocrisy that is truly something to see. And I bet he has a very logical (for his mind) explanation as the why he is not a hypocrite and why he should continue to collect the cash.

Odds are, King’s publisher(s) have a contract that licensed his books to local Russian publisher(s) for translation and distribution. King probably cannot just call them up and say “stop selling my books in Russia.” Even if he wanted to.
Of course, I’d be shocked if he ever actually even gave it that much thought. He’s a virtue signaling hypocritical prick and always has been. So I’m sure he is willing to let Coca-Cola or other corporations take a financial hit, but he’s not going to take any such risk himself.
I agree entirely. If King had any real concern he’d donate all the money he got from Russia to a Ukrainian relief charity.
Not sure what the consumer base is in Russia but will Russia let all the companies who stopped doing business there back into the country after the conflict is over?
I suppose that depends on whether the conflict ends through regime change. If not, then the answer to your question may well be “no” to which I would add “…and you shouldn’t be trying to go back in anyway”. If there is regime change (meaningful change) then the answer will obviously be “yes” and in that case going back in is a reasonable thing to do.
Can’t imagine Coke or King’s publisher accepting payment in Rubles. Probably goods convertible to real money or specie.
