On March 13th, President Donald J. Trump signed an Executive Order that will make the Federal government more efficient, effective, and accountable to you, the American people. This Executive Order directs the Director of the Office of Management and Budget to present the President with a plan that recommends ways to reorganize the executive branch and eliminate unnecessary agencies.
Reorganizing the Executive Branch: We Need Your Input!

Do you even need to ask? The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was my first choice. Since you are required to add another office, I chose TSA but dedicated the explanation part to why the ATF needs to be eliminated. Add more agencies as you wish, but let’s make ATF the target.

The Volstead Act has been repealed since 1933, it is time that the revenoers of the ATF follow suit.

  1. Be careful what you wish for.
Yes, the Volstead Act was repealed, but Federal gun laws are still on the books. Unless you get rid of NFA, GCA 68, etc., somebody will enforce them. If you disband ATF, those duties will be subsumed by a division of another agency (probably FBI, since it’s the greediest of Federal LE agencies). Then any malfeasance will be much easier to hide within the agency, and any objection to the way the new “Firearms Division” does business will automatically become “interference with the [agency’s] mission to root out terrorists.”
As for your slogan, I once saw a Federal agent (off-duty) wearing a T-shirt that said, “Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms: Where’s the chips?”

    1. True and that is a goal, but ATF has zero regulation when it comes to their internal tests. No protocol, nothing. They can literally make shit up and shove it in the courts. I am not too crazy about the FBI taking over, but at least they are forced to have standards that may have to be defended in court.
And if disolving ATF creates a fuck up and chaos in their record’s office… well…. 😀
