Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

These are Pre-Production models that are in new condition. The import markings are different than the current production models.
The MAC 1014 shotgun is based on the iconic firearm that has served troops around the globe for over two decades being synonymous with the GWOT and prized by the troops who carried them. MAC is proud to offer this proven self-regulating piston design shotgun, renowned for its effectiveness, ease of maintenance and unrivaled reliability with a wide range of loads. All MAC 1014 shotguns come from the factory with a preinstalled picatinny style rail with a ghost ring rear sight that is windage/elevation adjustable, and adjustable front post with contrasting white dot that is also adjustable for windage. The 18.5” barrel features the Benelli/Mobil pattern choke tube system for consistent patterns that can be tuned to any shot type load. Models are available with many finish options and furniture configurations to suit any role.

  2. Not a bad deal at half the cost of a stock Mossberg 930 SPX (SPX holds 7+1 3″ and 8+1 2.75″, plus ghost load. + 1.) But my SPX OR3GUN Custom, at three times the cost is hard to put down after you see the results of rapid firing of ten rounds. Wonder what mods and customizations can be done. But for a bone stock reliably functioning 12 ga. you can’t beat it for standard protection.

  3. Ooooh, pretty!

I always preferred the look of matte-finished wood furniture on shotguns. It has a nicer feel in the hands, IMO, and you can see the wood-grain patterns better than if it’s stained, varnished, and shiny.

I’m not currently in the market for a semi-auto shotgun, but if I were (or when I am), something like this just made my list.

  4. Reading an article by Massad Ayoob about the 1986 FBI shootout in Miami, Florida, where a wounded agent Mireles wound up in a seated position running a pump shotgun with one arm, convinced me to buy my Benelli Super 90 M1 back in 1995. We now live in a cul-de-sac, so I have decided against slugs and 00 buckshot. My choosen load is Fasteel 3″ 1-1/8 oz. #2. Their site says 1560 fps, but doesn’t say what barrel length.

A small but satisfying victory. The cross pin that retains the firing pin is itself held in place by a tiny rubber O-ring. Said o-ring, after nearly 3 decades of service, croaked. I actually did find an outfit online that carried them–$5 ea, plus $5 shipping. Went to my local Ace Hardware and found a replacement for 79 cents. Yes, I bought two. So in a single stroke, I brought a smile to the blood of the Scotsman in my veins, and pissed off the Italians.
