How to go from Basketball Icon to Douchebag in a second.

Former NBA star Scottie Pippen has added a new name to the list of people he is suing for allegedly trashing his waterfront home in Fort Lauderdale – the five year old daughter of the couple he claims caused over $100,000 in damages to the place.

In a story first reported by the Broward New Times, the Chicago Bulls legend is suing the child of comedian Lindsay Glazer Woloshin and her husband, Jacob, for damages caused to the home that he rented to the family after their home was damaged by Hurricane Irma in 2017

Former NBA Star Scottie Pippen Adds Child to Lawsuit Over Damages to Ft. Lauderdale Mansion

Really? Suing a 5 year old? What was it Mr. Pippen? You saw Jesse Ventura suing a widow and said, “I can be a bigger douchebag? Hold my Electrolyte drink?”

Some people have money, but zero class.

How to determine if there are sharks in your piece of ocean

From my buddy Sal:

Diving off the beach in WPB on Monday, I had a kid come up to me in waist deep water and ask me if their were sharks in the water there.
I told her about the foolproof test to determine if their were sharks in the water.

Taste the water. Does it taste like salt?
If so, there are sharks in the water.

And because this just happened down here:

Once you enter any body of water in Florida, you are no longer a top of the food chain.

Andrew (Obama Light) Gillum hit with federal grand jury subpoena.

According to the Sun Sentinel:

TALLAHASSEE – A federal grand jury has issued a subpoena to Andrew Gillum, the former Democratic gubernatorial candidate, and his campaign, according to a report from the Tampa Bay Times.
The Times obtained a copy of the subpoena issued to Gillum, which asked for information on: John Jackson, president and CEO of the Massachusetts-based Schott Foundation for Public Education, where Gillum was a board member until 2017; Opportunity to Learn Action Fund, where Gillum was president until at least 2017; Donald Sussman, who donated $1.5 million to Gillum’s campaign; and Sharon Lettman-Hicks, CEO of the National Black Justice Commission, a black LGBTQ advocacy group….
But during the campaign, Gillum fended off questions surrounding an ongoing FBI investigation into corruption in Tallahassee city government while he was mayor, saying he met with investigators and was told he wasn’t the focus of the investigation.

Draining the swamp in Florida? Most appropriate.

Time to repeal the 16th Amendment

Actress and town crier Alyssa Milano Tweeted this about the Muller investigation:

Here is what needs to be understood about all of that; almost all of those, including Manafort, was for tax evasion.

That was never part of the special counsel’s job.

My wife and I watched The Untouchables over the weekend and central to the plot of the movie was that everyone knew that Al Capone was a murderer and bootlegger, but they didn’t have enough evidence for that so they got him on tax evasion.

It seems that the Muller investigation has borrowed from the plot of The Untouchables and decided that if they can’t arrest anyone in Trump’s circle for collusion that never happened, they will throw them all in jail using the tax code.

This is the scariest lesson of them all.

It doesn’t matter what you did or didn’t do, if the Federal Government doesn’t like you, they can fuck you to death in Federal prison with the tax code.

The income tax is now the ultimate government weapon.

It’s time we abolish the 16th Amendment.

My thoughts on the guy who got ammo from Amazon

Miguel beat me to breaking this story, but since I have a different perspective on the topic I thought I’d post about it too.

To a lot of people, the idea that a guy got a box of ammo in his Amazon Prime shipment smells heavily of bullshit.  Not in the least to me because Federal Fusion is about $20 a box and what kind of prankster would give up $20 worth of ammo?

But debunking this story isn’t my intent.  I want to focus on this guys response and how it shows the caliber of man that he is (pun fully intended).

Start at the beginning.

He was “literally terrified.”  By what?  Live ammo.  Ammo without a gun.  What is it going to do?  Assuming you are not a gun person, I can imagine annoyance is a valid response.  Maybe flummoxed.  But “literally terrified” is a hysterical reaction not justified by the facts of the case.

The “involuntarily tasked with their safe disposal” is histrionic, as though the entire pro-gun community has dumped on this poor soul the Herculean task of cleaning the Augean Stables.

Now to his thread.

Ah yes, everybody calling bullshit on his bullshit story is a jobless gun sycophant and clearly some sort of mentally unhinged individual.  You know, those ammo-sexual types.

Makes me wonder what this guy’s job situation is that he can send the original tweet at noon on a Wednesday.

The people calling him on his bullshit are “unbalanced.”  Given that he was “literally terrified” by a box of ammo, it seems that this is projection.

Also, ammo is a “conduit of savagery.”  Spare me.

If, in fact, he did get this stuff in his Amazon shipment, it’s not anything that relates to “an epidemic of senseless murder.”  In most of the country, violent crime has gone down.  What we have seen is crime going up relating to drugs and gangs in some Democrat run urban areas, and mass shootings almost universally related to young men raised without fathers on ADD medication.

If Amazon is selling items that contribute to “an epidemic of senseless murder” it’s not ammo, but the items that enable absentee fatherism.

What really struck me in this pair of Tweets was the part “I know zilch about guns, and proud of that.”  This man is proud of his ignorance.  What sort of man is proud of ignorance.  Once upon a time, ignorance was something to be ashamed of.  Now it is an honorific.

“I wasn’t comfortable with … unwarranted to [sic] research how to safely dispose.”  Oh God no, not the horror of having to learn something about guns and ammo.  His pure and virtuous mind has been polluted by gun crimethink.  He knows something about ammo and now all his Progressive friends will know that he knows something.  He has been made unclean.

Horseshit.  There are 20 rounds in a box of Federal Fusion.  Either he can’t count or he is lying.  I’m guessing lying.

Also “in a land plagued by boundless slaughter and indifference to peace” is more bullshit.  Crime is down, and for the most part way down.  This is completely disconnected from reality and sounds like the hysterical rantings of the anti-gun activist who watched CNN school shooting coverage 24/7.

“Due to the fright that their worship of an inanimate object might be infringed.”  Pardon me or worrying about my civil liberties.

It’s not the law-abiding gun owners and Second Amendment supporters who are causing the “boundless violence” that only exists in limited places.

The gang members shooting each other in Chicago every weekend are not NRA members or gun rights advocates.  They are criminals and are not buying hunting ammo online for home delivery.

I’m chalking this thing up to a hoax stunt for attention, but the real takeaway is this guy’s pride in his ignorance and open disdain for law-abiding gun owners.  Its sick and sad at the same time.

Before George Zimmerman there was Bernard Goetz

Reading J. Kb’s post about Cuomo’s fiefdom, I have to smile a bt sadly and remember good old Bernie Goetz. Back when the New York City was a huge shithole, the subway system was the drainage were the worst of the crap concentrated and that included the criminals who preyed on those Gothamites that took public transportation.  But one day, somebody had had enough and when attacked by four youths, he pulled his firearm and shot them.

Now, this is New York City in the 80s, the height of the Race Baiters known as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson where they could not only get away with antisemitism but loudly applauded. “They was killing black children in the subway!” was the theme throughout even though the “children” had history of violent crimes.

Goetz was charged with attempted murder, assault, reckless endangerment, and several firearms offenses. The jury found him guilty of simply a firearms violation and served eight months of a one year sentence and New York Intelligentsia crapped a huge brick of surprise and disappointment. He was sued civilly by the feral asshole he left in a wheelchair and lost, but really he did not have much to begin with.

New York City intellectuals and Judiciary people hate Goetz. In fact, the second episode of Law and Order (September 20, 1990) was a variation of Goetz’s subway cleaning  but making sure the shooter was really-really a bad person. And I am sure they have some sort of Self defense = Vigilante = Bad every season.  Even Blue Bloods in its first season,  had a similar episode, but at least they had a family discussion about the contradiction between right thing and the legal thing even though the shooter was a prohibited person but long time good citizen.

Back to J. Kb’s post, Ronald Stolarczyk is facing up to four years in prison for his unregistered revolver and more than likely he will get at least a year because New York logic indicates that yes, you may very well defend yourself, but having the best tool to do such job? Not so fast Kemo Sabe, you do not have that right.

It is basically another legal re-run with the same sad ending.
