Man fires gun in Miami hotel because people weren’t social distancing, police say

A South Florida man fired a gun at a Miami Beach hotel after police say he became enraged over a mother and son’s lack of social distancing.

Douglas Marks, 29, was arrested Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, use of a firearm to commit a felony and discharging a firearm in public.

Marks noticed a woman, later identified as Veronica Pena, sitting on a couch with her son. He approached the two and told them to leave.

“You all aren’t social distancing,” Marks barked, according to the arrest report.

Ignoring him, Pena and her son didn’t move. She then overheard Marks say, “Let me take care of them, I have two people not following directions,” before he grabbed a black firearm and let off several shots, according to Miami Beach police.

Thankfully, no one was injured or killed.

Surprisingly, Marks was not injured or killed for being a warning shot firing asshole.  It’s very easy to win stupid prizes in Miami.

This is how far we’ve been pushed, to the point where someone thinks it’s acceptable to fire warning shots because a mother and son are sitting next to each other on a couch in a hotel lobby.

We are going to hell in a freight car.

Totally trustworthy. For sure.

This year’s vote by mail is going to work great.  Totally unimpeachable results.

Biden will win the election with 99% voter turnout.

The house will be 400 Democrats to 35 Republicans.  The Senate will probably split 90 to 10.

The Republicans will win just enough in only the Redest areas for the Democrats to say they didn’t steal the election. The same way that every Communist dictator in a Banana Republic only get 98% on the vote.

But don’t you dare question the outcome of election.  Not when Biden wins.  Dissent will no longer be patriotic.

Kidnapping added to the newspeak dictionary

From 18 U.S.C. §§ 1201: Kidnapping

(a)Whoever unlawfully seizes, confines, inveigles, decoys, kidnaps, abducts, or carries away and holds for ransom or reward or otherwise any person, except in the case of a minor by the parent thereof –

We have a general understanding of the definition of kidnapping.

That word has now entered the newspeak dictionary to mean “law enforcement effecting the legal arrest of a suspect in a way that minimizes the danger to the officers.

This is the headline from the New York Post:

Teen protester busted by NYPD, charged with criminal mischief

The teen was wanted for damaging police cameras around City Hall Park on June 30, the NYPD said.

She was arrested as she walked with a group through Kips Bay a little before 6 p.m., tailed by a contingent of marked NYPD vehicles and uniformed cops.

She was later charged with criminal mischief for writing on the cameras at City Hall Park, sources said.

She was also hit with several counts of graffiti and criminal mischief as well as other charges in four separate incidents between June 19 and July 6, including for allegedly scribbling inside The Oculus and on an F-train at 63rd Street and Lexington Avenue and for writing on an Upper East Side building and a Park Avenue sidewalk.

The teen was arrested by the NYPD Warrant Squad, which means there was a warrant issued for her arrest.

This is the video of that arrest.

Social media soon exploded with people calling it “kidnapping.”

This is the same accusation leveled against the arrest of agitators in Portland by federal LEOs.

There is a reason the police, both federal and local, have taken to this tactic.

It works and it’s safer for officers.

I’ve posted these Tweets before but I want to discuss them again.

This is what happens when uniformed officers try to arrest a suspect in the middle of a crowd.  Other people rush in and hinder the arrest.  The zaftig protesters from Wisconsin got arrested for laying hands on an officer arresting another suspect.

In the latter video, other people outnumber the officer and stop the arrest from happening.  They call that “dearresting.”

Remember last year there was the problem where uniformed NYPD officers had crowds surround them and throw water bottles and dump buckets of water on them when they were trying to do their duties.

So the warrant squad, like federal LEOs, use unmarked vehicles to get close to suspects without alerting a crowd to their presence.  Then they can nab and arrest the suspect and be out of there before an unruly mob forms to outnumber and “dearrest” the suspect.

However, police said this squad uses unmarked vehicles to find wanted suspects.

Intelligence and counter terrorism expert Brian Boyd said he thinks it was an acceptable police tactic.

“It’s legitimate. When they went up and made the arrest, they identified themselves as police officers,” he said. “A warrant squad is there to find and catch criminals or people who are wanted for committing crimes. And the only way you can do it sometimes, in a large group like that, is to do it undercover.”

Boyd added, “They have to be read their Miranda rights ’cause that’s the requirements. They’re put into a vehicle. The police car was unmarked because it’s safer for the person involved, it’s safer for the police.”

The response on Twitter proves exactly why the police need this tactic.

As it was, those officers were attacked for doing their job.

In his unending desire to undermine the NYPD, Mayor Bill de Blasio said:

“A lot of us have been watching in pain what’s going on in Portland, Oregon,” he said. “Anything that even slightly suggests that is, to me, troubling, and it’s the kind of thing we don’t want to see in this city.

“I think it was the wrong time and the wrong place to effectuate that arrest,” he added.

I suspect that next will come a ban on this type of tactic.

That will only put police at more risk when trying to arrest suspects, perhaps to the point where they can’t execute a warrant.

The police should not have to walk a gauntlet of assault to make an arrest.

That is why the Left has rebranded this “kidnapping.”  They want to hinder the ability of law enforcement to arrest people.

They will make it easier for criminals to get away while turning popular opinion against the police.

That is the ultimate goal of newspeak, to destroy the existing good in society by destroying the language.

She’s not an icon, she’s just a pervert (nudity warning)

Portland Protester ‘Naked Athena’ On Why She Stripped Down

“Jen” didn’t plan to get naked. She just did.

After a long day of protesting in Portland, Oregon—where federal officers have been dispatched to crack down on Black Lives Matter demonstrations—the sex-worker stripped down and positioned herself on the pavement facing a line of police.

An Oregonian staff photographer snapped a shot of the performative activist, who quickly went viral on Twitter as the “Naked Athena,” after the goddess of war.

This is the famous picture:

I want to point out something from the first paragraph.  This woman is a sex worker.  That term is very broad, she could be a stripper or she could be a prostitute.  They don’t make it any clearer.

Also, again, why in the fuck does the Left celebrate sex workers?  Why are they the next frontier of activism?

“There was a very deep feminine place in myself that felt provoked,” she said. “I’m notoriously naked. I just have been that way for several years now and there’s not anywhere that you can’t find me naked… I’m a sex worker and my nakedness is political. It’s my expression.”

This is not political.  This is perversion.  If that is too strong a word, fine, it is a paraphilia.  She is an exhibitionist.  She enjoys showing off her naked body.

“It’s a co-opted stance and it’s not earned,” she said. “This fury arose in me… I said, ‘I want to be naked. I want to confront them.'”

She got mad so wanted to get naked.  That is a compulsive sexual paraphilia: Exhibitionistic Disorder.

One Portland policeman shot her in the foot with rubber balls, she said, so she sat down and lifted her leg in the air to show him the blood. Then she got up and lifted her leg again. Her message, she says, was: “I can still stand tall.”

Jen sat back back down on the pavement and spread her legs wide, resting her hands on her shins. She was not, as several news outlets reported, doing yoga. “It was more like ‘Shoot this, look at this!'” she says.

Yup, paraphilia.  She surrounded by tear gas, shot in the foot, bleeding, and all she wants to do is show her lady parts to the police.

That is not normal human behavior.  This is not Tank Man at Tiananmen Square.  She is clearly getting a kick out of spreading her legs and showing her more intimates to armed federal LEOs.

Her naked confrontation has been heralded as heroic and criticized as a distraction from the Black Lives Matter movement. Novelist Mitchell S. Jackson wrote in a New York Times op-ed that “no matter her intentions, for a moment at least, she might’ve upstaged the movement, and not in a way I could discern as connected to its stated objectives.”

“Their concerns,” Jen said on Unrefined Sophisticates, “are absolutely valid, 100 percent.”

So she admits it really had nothing to do with black lives or any of the other stated grievances of the protesters.

She just wanted to show off her bits on the street in front of law enforcement, the media, and whoever else was watching.

This is an unedited (you’ve been warned) recording of some of her antics.  The text of the Tweet is related to something else.

She’s not making a bold statement.

You can tell that she is enjoying the attention.  She is relishing in it.

The dufus there pretending to be her bodyguard is clearly there for a close-in view and perhaps to white knight enough to earn a roll in the hay.

She didn’t need a bodyguard because every LEO wasn’t going to shoot the naked chick because each one knew that if they did, the media would destroy their life for being a sadistic misogynist that likes to abuse naked women.

The Left has elevated this woman into being some sort of warrior, using her nudity as a weapon against oppression or some shit like that.

Reality is that she’s just a woman with a sexual fetish for exhibitionism who had a platform to show off her crotch to a bunch of LEOs and fawning media.

I just want to point out the double standard here.  If it were a man who enjoys flashing his junk at people, who waggled his dick to a bunch of feds, he’d be in jail with his name on a list.

Also, some feds would have had no problem giving his meat-and-two-vedge a little seasoning with a pepper ball.
