Cry me a river Piers

Piers Morgan has the sadz because Americans are not taking this radical “defund the police” and rioting bullshit lying down.

Way I can say is:

Clay County Fl. Sheriff issues warning to “protesters.”

“If we can’t handle you, I’ll exercise the power and authority as the sheriff and I’ll make special deputies of every lawful gun owner in the county and I’ll deputize them to this one purpose: to stand in the gap between lawlessness and civility,” said Daniels, sporting a white cowboy hat as he stood in front of 18 deputies.

Florida sheriff: I’ll deputize gun owners if violent protests erupt

And I just checked with the missus and no, we are not moving to Clay County.

The sheriff is smart: he know this is gonna go viral, the residents are smiling at the opportunity to have fun with a bunch of White Rich Boys playing social revolutionaries and the rest of the country will think twice about starting trouble.

Deterrence acheved.

Protesters upping the ante: Attacking Emergency Medical Services.

I stole the whole thing from Greg Ellifritz.

It’s not just the police who are being attacked by mobs, now the mobs are attacking firefighters and paramedics responding to a vehicle crash scene. How do you think that plays out long term?

In my mind, this violence has very little to do with police brutality. People are frustrated by the government’s general ineptitude. People are frustrated with the Covid lockdown. People know that we are looking at facing an economic depression in the near future. They are acting out of that frustration.

Cops and medics are just the public face of the government. The rioters will never meet the mayor or city council. They will interact with cops and firefighters. Guess who will face the brunt of the public’s pushback against the government?

What brought that post? This item of sheer idiocy.

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (WAVY) — First responders were “pushed and kicked” Monday night while trying to save the life of a motorcyclist, officials say.

When Virginia Beach Fire and EMS employees arrived shortly before 9 p.m., “an unruly crowd gathered and rapidly grew in size and out of control, surrounding the scene…,” according to a Virginia Beach Fire Department report.

As firefighters tried to treat the man involved in the crash, several were “pushed and kicked” the report said. The victim ultimately died from his injuries on the way to the hospital, according to Virginia Beach Police.

According to the report, some people from the crash scene followed an ambulance to the hospital and began to “jump on, kick and hit multiple EMS vehicles causing damage.”

Virginia Beach first responders ‘pushed and kicked’ at scene of deadly motorcycle crash

May it be a reflection of the disgust that people have against government as Greg says or people just being assholes because they can and do not care for the life or others, this clearly is a big augmentation on the attack on society. The denial of emergency medical services will lead to unnecessary deaths which for the most part will go unpunished. Unarmed/unescorted emergency medical personnel will simply refuse to risk life and limb for a patient in a “hot area” and they would be well within their rights.

Let’s hope this does not become a popular thing among protesting idiots. But just in case, make sure you can initially treat any injury and transport the victim (including yourself) to the nearest ER.

Mark McCloskey said the magic words

St. Louis lawyer, Mark McCloskey was interviewed on Tucker last night.

Did you catch that?

He said the magic words.

“There’s no police there, our private security wasn’t there… oh my god, we’re absolutely alone, there is nobody coming to protect us.”

That’s why he grabbed his rifle.

Nobody was coming when the mob smashed down his gate and marched onto his property.

Nobody is coming.  You are on your own.  Be prepared and act accordingly.

Funny of the day with a splash of memory lane.

Friedman’s was the first surplus store I ever visited. I am trying to remember if it was December of 1982 or January 83 when I was a young foreign student with a less than basic command of the English language (Hold the snarky remarks, you a-holes! 😀 )

I was amazed that military stuff was freely for sale coming from a country that forbade civilian ownership of any kind of military stuff.  The thing I wanted the most was a navy coat, but it was an expensive item. I ended up buying a Vietnam-era army shirt of thick cotton and something else I don’t remember, maybe a pin.

I went back several times while living there and getting inexpensive stuff or just simply to kill time on a boring day. Not far from there is the laundromat I patronized (it is still there) because you could not get the machines at college without a 3 day waiting period.

Most of the stores of my times in 21st Av South are gone and that area of Nashville (Hillsboro)  has changed dramatically since I lived there, but it is nice to see some places still have withstood the trials of time.

Seattle PD clearing #CHAZ #CHOP

It seems the Mayor of Seattle finally decided to grow a pair and sent the police to clear the #CHAZ area. I am watching live as I type this

They cleared a lot of space, including the abandoned precinct that was the deer’s head on the wall for the “peaceful protesters.”

The kick? It took 30 minutes to clear the area.

Why the hell did the Seattle government allowed lawlessness for such a long time? My take? They bet on CHAZ/CHOP being the Socialist Utopia it promised to be, but after all the crime and deaths, it just turned into the standard Socialists reality and and embarrassment.

This is probably not over, some pushback may be coming. It should be entertaining.
