  1. I’ve often wanted to buy some decommissioned M18A1s to place around the property… Just for those days when peeps go peeping that shouldn’t be.

Back during WWII there was some village that managed to slow the german advance down greatly. They placed pie tins upside down in the streets.

The upside down pie tins looked a LOT like an anti-tank mine. Each time one was spotted it had to be treated like the real thing, which caused things to slow down.

The village also placed some of the real anti-tank mines around.

Made for a wonderful game of Russian Roulette. “Is this the real thing?” Send infantry to test and clear. They get shot at. Everybody slows down to test and clear while taking fire. Tank can’t move into support because land mind is in place.

Finally get to clear the land mind, it’s a pie tin. Next one they put a couple of 8mm rounds through it, nothing, tank drives forward and BOOM. The tank has had a significant emotional event.

Same with fake M18A1s. Poor dude has to treat each and every one of them like the real thing, because if they don’t, they have an effective range of 100 yards.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
