Actually, there’s likely a very logical explanation for Jarrett’s dumbassery. He’s probably hitting the sauce again.

When I saw that this AM, I almost puked. What a F**in moron. He mentioned “clips” at least twice. Where the hell is this button anyway? I’ve had my AR for 3 years and I have taken it apart twice. I can’t find that button. I dunno? Maybe those special California ones are built differently.
California compliant ARs have the “Bullet Button” instead of mag release. You need a tool or the tip of a .223 round to operate and change the mag.

I had the news on the TV yesterday while doing stuff around the house. When Jarret came on I was somewhat listening to the program until he starting using the term, “Clip” instead of magazine. It made me stop and pay attention to the interview. Initially, I was irritated because unless you have a M1 Garand, clips are for loading box magazines (pet peeve of mine using the term clip). But when I heard him state the depressing of the, “Bullet button” transforms the AR-15 into a fully automatic rifle my jaw hit the floor.
I know the guy is semi-intelligent since he has a law degree (IIRC) but I just could not believe what I was hearing. I just don’t know who supplied him with such erroneous information or he conducted a half-a$$ed google search because of his inexperience with firearms nomenclature. I don’t do twitter, but I actually thought about initiating an account just to notify him of his idiocy…but I decided to let him stew in his own misery because I’m sure he is getting hammered by others on social media.
I hope he doesn’t have another melt-down in any airports over this.
