What isn’t similar to a weapon of war? I think in the last 5000 years everything has been used as a weapon of war. 12 ga pump shotguns were weapons of war. Bolt action rifles. Revolvers. Anything sharp. Anything that could throw a projectile – from bows and arrows, back to David’s rock sling against Goliath. Anything that someone could throw from spears to rocks.

I’d bet dollars to Doughnuts that Mr. Mansoor Shams was a POG. In other words non-infantry and handled his weapon maybe 3x/ year. Snap-in week, range week and the mandatory cleaning.
