This is horrific:

The origin of the pitbull was as a bull baiting breed, a dog literally bred to fight bulls by biting their faces.

Any farmer who owns livestock should absolutely have the right to shoot a pitbull that comes onto their property.

The most shocking thing about this post was the lack of shooting, you be honest.

Most farmers that I know have a ready access rifle for livestock defense.

If there is a lesson to be learned here, you need a ready access rifle in your arsenal.

Since I’m in a rental, I can’t put a gun safe upstairs.  Once I buy a home, I’m going to reassess my home defense gun situation.

I’ve been thinking about AWAs rifle situation and I think an AR in 350 Legend will be my top choice.

The power of a 30-30 but in a semiautomatic package with a 20 round mag (the straight wall doesn’t like the 30 round curve).  I’ll probably outfit it with a variable 1-6x optic.

Should be perfect for anything up to 200 lbs of bull baiting dog.

MMA fighter, 23, ‘kills Florida Air Force soldier, 31, with one punch during Panama City Beach bar fight’

An amateur MMA fighter was arrested after he allegedly punched an Air Force soldier behind the ear in a Florida bar brawl – killing him.

Ross Johnson, 23, was running to help his friend in a fight outside of the Coyote Ugly Saloon in Panama City Beach on Sunday when he punched 31-year-old Dayvon Larry – causing him to collapse, police said.

Johnson, who has three years of ‘advanced fighter training’, didn’t attempt to get help for Larry and instead supposedly told a witness, ‘I think I killed him.’

Johnson has three wins and two losses on his MMA record. The victim’s autopsy showed he had a skull fracture and a bruise the size of a ‘softball’ behind his ear.

Police allege Johnson only hit Larry once before fleeing the scene by using a ride share service. 

The solider was pronounced dead at a local hospital after paramedics failed to revive him through life-saving measures outside of the bar.

Bleeding low and at the back of the brain puts pressure on the cerebellum and brain stem and causes death.

Murdered by a cheap sucker punch to the side-back of the head.

Just because someone is unarmed doesn’t mean they can’t kill you.

Scene:

A blue collar, hard work job, a construction site or a foundry, something dirty and tough.

The foreman is speaking to the workers saying they have a to get a lot done in a time crunch and it’s going to be a big job and some long hours but he knows they’ll get it done.

The camera focuses on the face of a young woman, standing in with all the men.  She’s a solid head shorter than the rest of them.  She looks unsure of herself.

They are working, hard.  Nobody is being mean to her, nobody is discriminating against her.  She is clearly giving it her all to keep up. She stumbles a few times, but picks her self up and keeps trucking.

Day ends, foreman announces that they accomplished their task.

Crew goes to a bar after work.

The young woman shows up.

All the other guys are there drinking Bud Lights.

The foreman beckons her over to an empty seat, she sits down, the foreman passes her a Bud Light.

Says to her “you did a good job out there today, you earned this.”

Ron DeSantis is the most popular governor in the history of the State of Florida.

He turned Florida from a purple state to a Red state.

Gavin Newsom was almost recalled.

California lost more residents than any other state under Newsom, and most of those people went to Florida under DeSantis.

But Trump savages DeSantis and praises Newsom.

Why?

DeSantis is a threat to him and Newsom stroked his ego.

This is Trump on 2024, it’s all about his ego.

He’s not running to MAGA, he’s running to Maje Trump a Winner Again.  That’s it.

For better or worse, the 90s are back in the pop culture.

I remember when “extermate the cockroaches” was on the radio.

It was Radio Rwanda in the early 90s.

We all know how that live tour went.

Estimates have it at more than 600,000 Tutsis murdered by Hutus.

Maybe calling Republicans cockroaches and calling for them to be exterminated is a bad idea.

That said, the US is not Rwanda and we have a Second Amendment.

They can try and exterminate us, but I guarantee it won’t go quite like it did in Rwanda.

There was a triple homicide last week in Orlando.

Three teenagers involved in petty crimes got killed by two other teenagers and a 12-year-old during a botched illegal gun sale and robbery.

This clip from the Sheriff’s press conference has been going around because the Sheriff made the point that no new gun laws would have prevented this homicide.

He may be right, but note what he said in the very beginning.

The gun used in the murders was stolen out of a car.

This is a point Miguel and I try to drive home constantly, lock up your guns and putting them in a glove compartment doesn’t count.

A little less than two years ago I posted about how my truck was broken into in a hotel parking lot, but my 9mm was locked in a Liberty pistol box tethered to the front sear frame with a steel cable and didn’t disappear.

At the time my right (dominant) hand was broken and in a splint. We got to the hotel around midnight, and I was too tired and in pain to do anything more than help get the kids into the hotel room, which is why I didn’t take my gun into the hotel room with me.

I now have Liberty cable boxes in all of my cars and a Hornady cable box that I’ll put in my wife’s car if we’re road tripping and I need a place to lock up my gun.  If I don’t teather it to a seat frame, I’ll lock it to the spare tire anchor point in the trunk.  Hell, I’ve seen cable lock boxes on sale at Harbor Freight for under $20.  I might but one and do a review, because $20 for gun safety seem like a great deal if it works.

There are plenty of reasons why you might have to leave a gun in a car, but if you do, lock it up.

For the cost of a cheap cable lock box, someone lost their gun and now there are three bodies on it.
