I remember how helpless that I felt.
I remember how futile my efforts to fight were. I remember his hands around my neck choking me, I remember beginning to lose consciousness before he loosened his grip. I remember the overwhelming fear, and I remember being absolutely, utterly, and completely powerless to stop him.

I will never feel that way again if there is a way available for me to prevent it!

I walk with a greater sense of security knowing that I have within arms reach, enough power to level the playing field with any would-be assailant, no matter how big and powerful.

To this day, I cannot understand the mentality of those who would rather not give a loved one a chance to live nor do themselves the responsibility to help them.

The amazing and silly dogma that just because you partake on a suicide pact of defenselessness, everybody else should be forced to do the same is just criminal, as criminal as the cretin that feels he should use my property as income to pay for his tryst with illegal chemicals or just because it feels god to see somebody else bleed.

  1. Maybe some of these people need to experience a little violence one time. I’ve been the victim of a violent crime, it gives you a whole new perspective.

    1. Me too. Robbed at gunpoint in my place of business. One of the responding officers asked me why I wasn’t armed. The rest is history — he taught me how to shoot, and we became good friends. Been carrying ever since.

  2. I’d prefer to learn from the experiences of others and not be a victim of a violent crime. I have one friend who (I think he first handed over his wallet) ran away from muggers only to get a bullet in the buttocks and another friend forced into the trunk of his car in San Francisco (it is a gigantic gun free zone).

The takeaway is to never let these clowns dictate to us how and when we can defend ourselves. They have zero moral authority to dictate to me the means of my self-defense. I take extreme umbrage at any of their attempts to limit my absolute right of self-defense.
