Federal officials charged a Chicago engineering student Monday with making the online threat that shut down the University of Chicago for a day, saying his threat to kill U. of C. students and staff was in response to the police shooting of Laquan McDonald. Jabari R. Dean, 21, a student at the University of Illinois at Chicago, was charged with transmitting a threat in interstate commerce.
“This is my only warning. At 10 a.m. on Monday mourning, I am going to the campus quad of the University of Chicago. I will be armed with an M-4 Carbine and 2 Desert Eagles all fully loaded. I will execute approximately 16 white male students and or staff, which is the same number of time McDonald was killed,” Dean wrote, according to court records. “I then will die killing any number of white policemen in the process. This is not a joke. I am to do my part to rid the world of the white devils. I expect you to do the same.”

What’s with all of Linda Kennedy’s hashtags? She said nothing and hashtagged everything, and most of them don’t make sense. #BroomsUp is a quiddich thing (I had to look up the hashtag, it’s people running around playing the game from Harry Potter). #RaiseSassyGirls is a bunch of foul mouthed girls screaming liberal talking points (like that F**K H8 feminist campaign). She just vomited a bunch of irrelevant hashtags onto Facebook.
But isn’t that exactly what Twitter is all about? I don’t do any sort of social media (book of face, twaddle, instawhatever) so I just go by what I see.
If I received the kid’s threat, I would have laughed and told him to go play in traffic. Is that where we’re at as a nation? Some kid listing a few guns he knows from a video game is now a problem?
It must have been his desire to preserve his degenerative culture that is predicated on preserving the privilege of white men, through violence toward white men… or something.

I don’t know what more do you need that this guy is a psycho. But, the biggest problem with him is he needs more attention. Why would you post something you’re going to do? He needs a psychiatrist to find out what his real problem is? It’s very easy to blame the NRA and gun nuts for whatever happens with a gun. Just once, could someone look at the REAL problem. A man attacked his wife and daughter with a baseball bat. Should we blame the Louisville Slugger company and ban ALL baseball bats? Sounds ridiculous doesn’t it? But, lets blame the NRA and vilify all gun owners. There are over 5 million gun owners, so lets throw them all in jail because they support something our Founding Fathers thought we should keep against tyrannical governments! Why are people so against guns! Lets be against guns where it will do the most good. How about starting with Chicago? More gun deaths occur in Chicago than all the “gun-nut killers” combined. And Chicago and Cook County have the most stringent guns laws imaginable! So lets stop this knee-jerk reaction and blame someone else!

The Democrats and the Liberals want to vilify the NRA and gun owners when they can’t face the facts. Lets rush to judgement because he did it WITH a gun. Please add all the MASS murders that happen in ONE year. Then compare it to ALL the murders of black on black. It’s a crying shame that Obama considers himself black, BUT does NOTHING to help these neighborhoods. I’m more familiar with Chicago so I’ll speak to that. The mayor of Chicago used to be among Obama’s inner circle, so why doesn’t ask Obama’s help. Because it can’t be done when the Democrats and Liberals hold these people in the GHETTO. After all the promises they get elected and then leave them to their own means. Ask any black citizen of Chicago if it’s better now under Emmanuel and Obama or worse. They will ALL say worse, except those that are being held as slaves by giving them entitlements. Sharpton, Jackson, Farrakhan will not come out with anything positive, but are johnny on the spot to use their “standing” to call everyone a racist. Folks, I hate to tell you, there as many racists in the black community as there are in the white community. It’s just that the media focuses only on white on black crime. I know, I know all you bleeding heart Democrats and Liberals and NOW Republicans will try to vilify me. Call me all sort of names because when you can’t conduct a civil debate you resort to name calling. You’re wasting your time as I don’t answer any name calling posts, never have, never will. And, yes, the cop that shot that 17 year old black, sixteen times, should not be given a trial much less being out on the streets right NOW. Why waste the taxpayer’s money on protection and a trial. Any responsible, thinking person who wouldn’t consider shooting someone SIXTEEN times as MURDER, then we are on the wrong side of GOD. The cop, the shooter in Colorado, and the “POOR MISGUIDED” black youth in Chicago deserve to be locked up in a cell for LIFE.
And once again, Obama is telling the WORLD bad an uncivilized we Americans are. “This would not happen in any other country”. Anti-American, YOU BET!!!
I only have to disagree with two parts of what you’ve said.

First off, we don’t live in a banana republic, nor should we ever want to. People who make such suggestions have obviously never experienced the absolute miserable hell that such kinds of suggestions lead to, and hopefully they will remain blissfully unaware of them.
Every person accused of a crime (especially a capital crime!) should have the opportunity to face their accusers, the evidence against them be heard and a judge and/or jury hear the facts. To declare otherwise is folly and leads to people being falsely imprisoned or worse based upon mere accusation. No way I’d want to live in a country that does that.
You have your opinion of what happened, based upon what you have heard/read/seen. And you are absolutely entitled to have your opinion. However, until a trial is had, rushing to the judgement that this man guilty merely because some of the evidence out there suggests it is a bad idea. The whole point of a trial is to hear all of the evidence, not only what the leftist-biased media has told you.
Secondly, focusing on the number of rounds fired and declaring it murder solely because he fired so many is folly, at best. I can think of several shootings where the violent actor needed to be shot more than a dozen times, and survived, or lived long enough to continue their violent attack. The number of rounds fired may or may not have been excessive. It is entirely dependent upon the situation.
So you don’t misunderstand what I’m saying, I am not declaring that the officer was right to shoot him sixteen times. I am also not declaring him wrong (yet) for shooting him sixteen times. There may well be evidence we are not aware of that explains the necessity to shoot someone sixteen times.
That is the purpose of a trial.
That’s why we always need a trial.
I agree with you that he should be given a trial. But, from past trials this will probably extend for several months. My answer is, who will be paying for this outlandish trial? I know, I am and all other taxpayers in Illinois. Probably some big name attorneys with a hefty price will defend the youth. I’m surprised that Sharpton hasn’t come in with his racist accusations. Jackson has already made his speech and by the looks of it, he must be under heavy sedation.
The other point I’d like to make is that police brutality has been the norm in Chicago and the police commander is the scapegoat. The person at the top gets the blame, but what about the mayor? Also, I’m sure that the terrorist group Black Lives Matter will have a field day.
And as far as the evidence will show, the defending attorneys will be in control of that. You had a preview of the violence that took place, wait and see what will happen if the officer is found innocent.
So, in my view he will be found guilty after all the hoopla and circus surrounding the trial.

Bean 1980, I agree with you 100%. Obama is just looking for any excuse to declare Martial Law. That’s why he’s bad-mouthing the U.S. every chance he gets. That way the world will see him as the great savior. He’ll continue that and letting as MANY Muslim into OUR country so ISIS will be in control. But, there are about 5 million gun owners and they will not SURRENDER their weapons without a fight. Loyal Americans will have to continue responding to that Muslim and prove him wrong.
