Once again with feeling: Stand Your Ground was never used by the defense in the trial. They went for Self Defense since Trayvon was already attacking Zimmerman which was the correct and legal thing to do.
Brady needs to perpetuate the lie because it is the way they gather funding. They will never tell you SYG has helped people of all races from being railroaded by winning-hungry prosecutors because they do not engorge their coffers unless all self-defense shootings are determined to be murders and they get to play the advocates for the victims even if they were juvenile delinquents like sainted Trayvon.
Alternately: If Trayvon Martin had not been wandering the streets at night, presumably ‘casing’ places to rob (I grant the evidence for this is circumstantial, but he WAS caught with stolen property and tools), he might still be alive.

The slogan/gesture “Hands up, don’t shoot” from the shooting of gentle giant Michael Brown is possibly more offensive than the Trayvon lies. Yet MSM, BLM, et al, will continue its propagation.
FWIW it’s highly unlikely that a young man of Trayvon’s proclivities would have reached age 27 free and on the streets. His life’s trajectory was going to coincide with either a gang shooting or a felony conviction.
