SEN. Dianne Feinstein has resigned from the Military Construction Appropriations subcommittee. As previously and extensively reviewed in these pages, Feinstein was chairperson and ranking member of MILCON for six years, during which time she had a conflict of interest due to her husband Richard C. Blum’s ownership of two major defense contractors, who were awarded billions of dollars for military construction projects approved by Feinstein

And you will not hear the scandalized Talking Heads in the Media talk about this. She is her own Military-Industrial complex.

  1. Her husband owned two defense contractors, she was chairperson of the committee that picked defense contractors….heck, yeah, that’s a conflict of interest, which usually involves subpoenas and rolling heads and (hopefully) time spent contemplating the errors of their ways in a highly structured (and barred, and fenced, and barb-wired) environment. This should blow her credibility waaaaay out of the water, as well, with her “guns are evil….for everyone but those my husband sells to….” schtick.

  2. Now it’s obvious why she wants to ban guns. It’s right out of the standard Evil Overlord playbook: she’s planning on making her own military coup of the US.

The last place I worked, a conflict of interest like that would risk the company losing our contracts with the client, or worse.

  3. So the bitch is a war profiteer? She makes money off of folks getting this new fangled PTSD. Gah, my simmering hatred makes my head want to go kablooey. General Butler is probably like a hotdog on a gas station weenie roster in his grave.
