Yeas 10 Nays 6. Don’t know yet specifically how they voted, but looks like strict party line vote.
I am guessing that the next top is the floor and hopefully the Governor’s desk after that.
I was worried that the Senate Jellyfish caucus of the GOP worried that the passage of HB 1 would have used too much political capital and wanted to make nicey nicey with the Democrats and maybe throw a consolation vote against this bill, or maybe even use it as appeasement sacrifice where none was needed. Let’s hope the whole floors feels they don’t need to kiss Democrat’s ass after this.
