The number of active concealed weapons licenses in Florida, already home to more owners of such registered weapons than any other U.S. state, is expected to reach the 1 million mark next week, a state official said on Wednesday.

Can you hear the cries of despair from the Usual Suspects? They thought they scored a tpouchdown with Bob Costas and less than a week later, Illinois gets told to start issuing CWP and the Gunshine State is about to have the equivalent of 2/3 of all US Armed Forces with a license to carry.

If I need a license to concealed carry, then why don’t I need one to practice freedom of speech?
We will eventually arrive to Constitutional carry but the fight is not easy and takes time. 25 years ago the thought of Citizens carrying a gun for their defense seemed ludicrous, few states had concealed carry and the majority of the people rejected it. As of yesterday all 50 states provide or must provide some sort of carry. It is not as fast as we wish, but is coming.
Ohio just got its information on the 3rd quarter of the 8th year we have concealed carry. We broke the most ever in 1 quarter record wise. In my county you have to schedule a few months in advanced just to get a class, and then you have to schedule in advance a meeting with a sheriff to have the application stuff done.
A training group in the town where I went to Jr. High and High school only has its “Next class open X/X, applications open” up for a few days before they fill up, and they are only like a 2 minute walk from an elementary school, a 3 minute walk from a Jr. High, and a 10 minute walk from a high school!
According to the math, if you aren’t in a government building or posted no gun place, 1 in every 30 adults is packing concealed, with more % if you are around older people.
