I just saw a notification of a friend that he is leaving the NRA while linking to this:

If you leave the NRA for an article co-investigated by The New Yorker and the Trace, consider the Second Amendment gone within 5 years.
The idea is to burn Nero, not Rome and you just handed a gallon of gas to the enemy.

We deserve what we have coming.

I’ll just start to post pictures of scantly-dressed women holding guns. I’ll make the same progress anyway and it is less troublesome.

  1. Some of us retain hope. A shred of hope, but some.

All I can say is that this is going to have to get worse before it gets better.

  2. A tough situation. The NRA is clearly a 2a powerhouse, but it appears to run by crooks who care more about personal enrichment than 2a issues.

If there is no change the NRA dies with the current generation of members because new members see the rot.
If no one leaves and the NRA isn’t hurt as a consequence of the leaderships actions, how will change occur?

  3. They NYT and The Trace “exposed hundreds of millions . . .” Aren’t these the same people who “exposed” the Russian collusion?
Yeah, I’d sure make a lot of decisions based on what they said.
    (That’s sarcasm.)

  4. I’ve supported the NRA for 37 years. I’m not going to quit because of rumors and innuendo. Even if it’s true, it’s certain people, not the organization as a whole. It’s like renouncing your citizenship and moving to england because Obama gets elected. Think about it.
