I do not understand that wrecked train of thought. OK, you are opposed to ‘guns in schools” and the only way to enforce your position is to say that teachers have the brains and intellect of drone bees.

If you carry a gun, the only thing you should be able to do is to carry a gun? Out of the gate, millions of people legally carrying a weapon every day for the past 30 years and still going about other business without tripping over their shoelaces or shooting up their places of labor automatically belies that statement, hell it ridicules it thoroughly.
Mr. Shegog is a security consultant, and the gun community has had experiences with these co-called consultants in the past because some of them appear to be afraid of losing business if gun training is not mandatory.
It seems he is no exception:
I went to his website and could not find qualifications other than “retired military.” I also found his Youtube channel and has very little about shooting and the stuff I was saw went from downright amateurish to people I believe might have been students sweeping themselves while holstering.
I wanted to see what kind of training location he had and found his address.
It is for “security” reasons, I am sure.
With that thinking, community policing and police sponsored youth activities would be impossible.
“thinking” is rapidly becoming rare. the world is full of “exspurts” spewing exspurt advice they made up mostly to try and get you to give them money. yes, carring a firearm if you never have is an adjustment. wading through the exspurts is a daunting task many newbs will hate. the “teachers are not equipped to carry” argument is laughable at best. tho, there are some who aren’t equipped to wield a pencil… don’t arm teachers but have armed men wandering around the school… until the utopian dream of widespread acceptance of firearms this is what we are given..

When you consider that about 3/4 of K-12 teachers are female (Dept. of Education source), “too complicated for women” and “too complicated for teachers” are close to the same thing.

That said, under his logic, police should not carry guns. How are they supposed to think about “policing” and “law enforcement” if their every thought is about carrying? Or is he one of those who thinks police exist only to shoot people?

(And on that train, is he one of those who thinks the only possible purpose of an AR-15 is to kill as many people as possible as fast as possible, so they should be banned for “civilians” … but police need their “patrol rifles” for all that killing they do on the daily?)

By his logic, every one of us who carries regularly while going about our daily lives, doing our jobs, running errands, etc., and toting an item that would require any normal person’s full attention, must be the smartest and most-agile people on the planet!
The majority of “consultants” are either self serving or idiots. Often both.
