I am having a bad feeling about the consequences of the Ukraine war for us in the US. We have a nutcase in the Soviet Union Russia going Cossack because he can and has a finger in a nuclear trigger or at least outside the trigger guard. And on our land, we have a senile old fart with a bunch of puppeteers behind/under/inside him who need to look butch, or otherwise they will badly lose both sides of Congress come November and maybe even the Presidency before its time.
Stupid desperate politicians make for stupid desperate decisions that do not affect them but screw us far and wide.

Remember, the people who keep pushing Burn Down Bigger and the Green Leap Backward have grand dreams that require a 90% reduction in world population.
And that’s before taking into account brain damage caused by a certain protein that’s been widely introduced by infection, by injection, or both. Now, even tyrants who until recently were reasonably smart at pursuing rational self-interest are stupid and crazy (while still being no less evil).
Miguel, the only good thing about the state of things is that they are so bad that I can’t see how Dems win this November. If we can take back the house and get a majority in the senate again, there are at least some checks on the Biden administration.
The Ukraine situation is delicate for sure, and hawks on both sides of the aisle calling for no fly zones or airstrikes are the people that worry me. Anything that risks direct confrontation could pull us into the war. And if Putin gets backed into a corner, does anyone know how he’s going to react?
We (USA) have to be careful. There is a lot of demand for us to act. People are screaming about how bad Ukraine is and will get. If we (and NATO) get involved, the death and suffering will be far greater than what is happening now. I think its better that we stay out – other than having NATO’s back, we really don’t have much interest in Ukraine.

Biden is going hat in hand to Saudi Arabia and Venezuela begging for a cup of oil. He still refuses to reverse his stupid moratoriums on Permitting of Oil and Gas Exploration of federal lands, ANWR Exploration, and the Keystone XL Pipeline.
These stupid executive orders by F. Joe Biden in his first week allowed Russia to expand its oil and gas markets, and drove up the price that Russia (and Iran, Venezuela, etc.) received for its oil.
