Semi-retired like Vito Corleone before the heart attack. Consiglieri to J.Kb and AWA. I lived in a Gun Control Paradise: It sucked and got people killed. I do believe that Freedom scares the political elites.

  1. Speaking as a medically oriented person, yep, Graham nailed it.

More particularly, if you look at things from a “Holy Stool! *I* am first on the scene of this (shooting)(MVA)(cardiac arrest)(other)!”, then, no, in any clinically relevant timeframe, nobody is coming to save you. EVERYTHING *is* your responsibility, because, if you don’t do it, it will not get done.

Triage is not widely taught, but, hell yes! save who needs to be (and can be) saved.

And, as, likely, readers of this blog know, if accomplishing the above requires it, then, righteously, kill who needs killing.

Priorities. It helps manage chaos on any scene.

  2. From my grandma who was a scout in WWII: ‘Do what needs to be done’ .

Everything else is static on the line.

Only one rule: Don't be a dick.
