This is the other half of the coin that causes good people to turn on the cops.
Not protecting people from actual violent crime is one side, two cops manhandling a guy on a skateboard for jaywalking is the other.

You commit assault, throw Molotov cocktails at police, and burn buildings to the ground, no problem, the police will stand by and watch the show. You cross a street illegally on a skate board and you’ll windup in handcuffs and spend at least one night in jail for a crime that usually warrants only a ticket. I wonder what would have happened if the vile perp was wearing a MAGA hat?
