Remember when we were told by Sheriff “85% of my deputies don’t trust me” Israel and Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie that Nikolas Cruz was not in the promise program.

Well, they lied.

Broward schools backtrack on gunman Nikolas Cruz’s Promise program connection

But it wasn’t a lie, lie.  It was more of an oops lie.

Robert Runcie Blames Messy Records for Misinformation About Promise Program

Critics have slammed Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie all day amid news that — contrary to Runcie’s repeated claims — Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School shooter Nikolas Cruz was involved in the controversial Promise disciplinary program before becoming a mass killer. Now Runcie is pushing back by blaming scattered record-keeping and insisting he gave the best information he had at the time about Cruz’s participation in Promise.

The “best information he had at the time” defense.  Just like the one Sheriff Israel used when he defended his chicken-shit deputies.

But I bet Runcie gave “amazing leadership” as Superintendent.  It’s not his fault that Cruz went on a preventable murder spree.  It was sloppy paperwork.

The next part of this script is him saying the negligence of his administration shouldn’t be punished, the shooting was the NRA’s fault.

  1. If the records were so “messy,” how is it that a high school student was able to uncover the involvement of the shooter, but his own staff couldn’t?

  2. Give this article a read.

Summary: Parkland student finds the school board has been hoarding around $25 million a year over the last 4 years that was supposed to go to “school safety” expenditures. School board tries to pressure the student from releasing his findings at the school board meeting. Media largely silent.

Conclusion: This whole thing stinks but very few people want to know where the stench is coming from.
