They always eat their own

I have come to believe that all these calls for unity from the Democrats was intended to be for fellow democrats.

They are about to eat each other.

From Politico:

Tlaib lashes out at centrist Dems over election debacle: ‘I can’t be silent’

House Democrats lost seats instead of expanding their majority, underperforming expectations across the board. And moderates have pounced on liberals like Tlaib, the Michigan congresswoman, accusing them of handing conservatives a set of slogans and policies to scare voters.

But Tlaib and other House progressives don’t want to hear it. It all amounts to unfair blame-casting designed to shame them into staying quiet, they say, right as Democrats gain control of the White House.

That is in reference to a conference call from last week after the election which was covered by a reporter.

Then there is this from the Independent:

This is after Progressives demanded that Sanders and Warren have positions in Biden’s cabinet.

They are going to destroy themselves before they get the camps going to exterminate Trump supporters.

Good.

They them thin themselves out first.  I will make it easier for us later on.

The text of the evil DeSantis bill against peaceful protester is finally out.

I guess enough people complained that the Miami Herald finally gave it up: Combating Violence Disorder and Looting and Law Enforcement Protection Act

Mosy of the bill tags people with misdemeanors for silly stuff. Now things get stupid when we are talking about throwing projectiles of any kind to either Civilians or Law enforcement and those go straight for the Felony patch.

But I believe this is the part that has collective Media panties all twisted, it is all the way to the end of the document.

IANAL WARNING! You may proceed now.

Looting is now officially a forcible felony. I would have thought to be included in burglary, but I figure it is now clarified. I do believe the Criminal Mischief will be kicked back unless it is narrowed. The definition in the statutes is way too ample and it may be reversed in the courts. Arson was already a forcible felony, but this adds the interruption of business thing that should not matter one way or another: Arson is arson and a forcible felony.

Of course, not being a lawyer, there might be something legal I am missing and which explains why this would make sense.

And in case you don’t know them, here are Florida’s Forcible Felonies that allow for Justifiable Use of Force.

It’s never the Democrats fault your life sucks

Just in case you’re keeping track:

The Obama economy was Bush’s fault.

The Trump economy was Obama’s doing.

The future suck-ass Biden economy, which will be a copy of the Obama economy, will be Trump’s fault.

It’s good to know that before Biden is even sworn in that the next four years will have little growth, your 401(k) will yield shit, and you are going to live a life of financial uneasiness with no raises or promotions as your costs go up.

Miami Herald begging for your money.

With all the bad news lately, I did find a bit of solace here.

You may have noticed the little underlined passage on that screen capture. It is important because it does not show in their Facebook page and it is also misleading as that newsroom no longer exists. I pointed this out.

That they are gone and no longer in the building is not a state secret. Hell, they even published it back in  June of this year in a very similar-looking article. They even sold the printing building and subcontract the job of a paper edition to another shop in Broward County.

So, like a lot of people today, the Journos of the Herald are working from home.

We know that the office space of today is not what the office space will be for tomorrow as it relates to social distancing and keeping our employees safe. For that reason, Miami Herald and el Nuevo Herald employees will continue to work remotely through the end of the year. After the New Year, once the commercial real estate industry has sorted itself out with regard to new standards and approaches, we will find a new, centralized home.

So what are they after? They either looking for more money to try and rent some abandoned strip mall space and re-open a physical business or they are in such a bad place, they can barely deal with the expenses of their people working from home.

So the Herald has two options: Find themselves a foreign pimp/sugar daddy like the New York Times did or simply close down its doors and save some trees and innocent memory space in the Internet.
