We have seen the videos of mobs attacking a person in this blog, right? And you carry a gun for protection too, but the question that needs to be answered is: How to shoot when violence is on top of you.

Learning how to fight in close, good. Learning how to from this guy, not so much. I see a lot of our only tool is a hammer, so we’ll train you to treat everything as a nail. The second vid where he us surrounded, his tactics are based on static targets. So he engages moving forwards, then reverses back to the middle of everyone and then backs all the way out. This drill would be much better with an airsoft pistol, live opponents, and run in a place with mats for falling. He even mentions shooting teqnique isn’t very important, this is mostly about how to create enough distance to get your gun in play and keep control of it. And there is world of difference between creating space with a static dummy and a live opponent. But if it was something you could do in your local gym or garage, you wouldn’t need to go to gun sight and use thier cool ranges for it.
When I saw the still from the second video, I thought the guy was giving the dummy a benediction the way he was holding his hand over the dummy’s head. And for Pete’s sake, do NOT use the speed rock drill if someone is close to you – it puts you way off balance, so you’re asking to get knocked on your butt. He teaches a reality based course that is born from his and his colleagues’ experiences in close contact fighting – highly recommended.
